| This really was exactly what I was looking for in my first trip to China -clean,comfortable(beds could be a little softer!) accomodation right in the heart of Beijing in the middle of a traditional 'Hutong'(chinese community) but only 5 mins taxi or 15 walk from the modern pedestrianised shopping street 'wangfujing' or same distance the other direction to the beautiful 'lake houhai' and all its bar/restaurants that surround the lake. Great restaurant underneath the rooms with unbelievable dishes and cheap as chips! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a feel of china but not totally forfeting 21st century facilities.Its no marriot/hyatt but after years of staying in these somewhat sterile places worldwide sometimes its nice to get somewhere where your face is remembered rather than your credit card.The English spoken is very little to say the least but they more than make up for that in effort and kindness-This hotel is a basic 3 star in a great location at a really great price-you cant go wrong!Thank you Beijing Zi Long-I will always have fond memories of my stay during the Olympics!! |
