Covering 1,000 hectares, Dunk Island is located approximately 4 kilometres off the Tropical North Queensland coast (the township of Mission Beach), midway between Townsville and Cairns. Regular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Dunk Island via Cairns with Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Blue. From Cairns you can choose between a scenic air transfer or coach and boat transfer to Dunk Island.

Air Transfer
Hinterland Aviation operates flights between Cairns Airport and Dunk Island up to 3 times daily. Alternatively, if you would prefer a private transfer charter flights are also available. Flights take approximately 45 minutes. Passengers must advise their connecting flight details 7 days prior to departure for coach transfers from the main terminal at Cairns to the Hinterland Aviation terminal.
Coach & Boat Transfer
Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections operate services between Northern Beaches, Cairns Airport and Cairns City three times daily to connect with the Quickcat to Dunk Island. Port Douglas and Silky Oaks transfers available on request. Transfer time is approximately 2.5 hours from Cairns Airport to Dunk Island.
Boat Transfer
The Quickcat departs Clump Point (2 hours south of Cairns) to Dunk Island and return twice daily. The transfer takes approx. 20 minutes each way.

There are countless activities (charges apply) including 9 Hole Golf Course, Rainforest and Beach Horse Rides (for adults and children 11 years or over), Pony Rides (for children under 11 years), Mountain Bike Tours, Artists Colony Visits, Tandem Skydiving, Scenic Flights, Waterskiing, Wake Boarding, Tube Rides, Dinghy Hire, Sea Kayak Tours, Fishing Charters, Day Trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Sunset Cruise 90 mins (Twice a week), Diving Day Trips, Kids Club (for children 3-12 years inclusive), Jet Ski Tours, Jet Ski Rentals.
Once arriving at Cairns you are either able to hop on a short 45 minute flight to Dunk Island with Hinterland Transfers or alternatively a boat transfer operates between Mission Beach and Dunk Island daily.
FLIGHT - Hinterland Aviation operates scheduled regular scenic transfer flights between Cairns Airport and Dunk Island up to 3 times daily on behalf of Voyages Hotels & Resorts. Bookings must be made through the Voyages Contact Centre on 1300 134 044 (within Australia or +61 2 8296 8010 (internationally). Transfer duration: approx. 45 min. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to the flight departure at the Hinterland Aviation terminal.
