Very disappointing - we booked this hotel because your site said it had tea & coffee making facilities in the room - it does not! and because it was air conditioned - the hotel may have air con but it wasn't working and a look at the guest book showed it had not been working since the 27th June (we went for 6 nights commencing 8th July)it was still not workng by the time we left on 14th July we were not told there was no air con when we arrived nor were we offered any discount or even a fan! It was over 30 degrees but we had to ask for a fan and the staff were most put out when we did so, but they did eventually oblige - we were given one which was obviously taken from the kitchen, it was covered in grease/oil and sent a nice chip fat smell wafting round the room!

The double room was as promised on the site. Service was all that could be asked for. The meal in the Angus resturant was very nice with quality service. Breakfeast each morning was enjoyable in the bright surroundings and staff helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel to family and friends.

Nice quiet neighborhood, far from the thundering tourist hordes. Also check out the U Vilema,a nearby inexpensive restaurant with beer garden.

The hotel has two types of rooms. Luxury and standard. Standard means a room under the roof, no windows, no elevator. The light in the corridor was out and wasn't repaired in 4 days, the A/C unit was out of order (no temp control) and the shower was either cold or boiling. The staff was totally indifferent, not even "hello" or "goodbye". Breakfast was somewhat better than in the other hotels we tried during this trip but not that exceptionnal. Location is good, safe. 10 mn walk to subway station which is 2 or 3 stations away from city center. The hotel forgot to mention the work on the rotary nearby which made it impossible to reach it following their driving directions. The only deluxe feature is the price.

tres beau sejour malgré le froid. hotel superbe meme les chambres "non luxe" qui sont tout a fait correctes, prix raisonnable. La propreté des rideaux etait le seul point douteux! petit dejeuner extra, proximité du centre, on reviendra !

I recommend this hotel to everyone. In the future, I will return to it as well. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the center of Prague by metro and walking combined. It is in a very nice part of the city away from the tourists. The restaurant is also great, and breakfast is the best offered among all the Euorpean hotels that I have stayed at. The room was very nice, specious and clean. The staff was very helpful. The hotel also offers free internet access to its guests.

Our stay at the Villa Schaiger was very very good. It was our first time in Prague and we were welcomed by the hotel staff, they were very helpful (spoke English). The rooms were all that we'd hoped for, bathroom was great (lots of space & great water pressure in the shower), breakfast was the best continental breakfast we had in Europe. The hotel's location is excellent, 10 minute walk to Prague Castle, neighbourhood felt safe and was quiet. We were with a tour group and watched them get dropped off in Old Town and Wenceslas Square areas in horror, very congested area, asking each other "what did your travel agent tell you about the area?!". Then we were taken up the hill towards our hotel and dropped off in peace and quiet. Lovely.
