| Room was large which we needed as a family of 5. However the bathroom, and particularly the shower cubicle for my 6ft plus husband, was very small. We also found the room to be overheated at night and needed to leave the balcony door open so we could sleep comfortably. The actual distance from Venice could have been made a little clearer, although the bus stop is very close to the hotel we were not fully aware of the 40 minute plus travel time involved. |

| To go to Venice the bus is perfectly on time and convenient, also if the travel time is not really short (around 45' in total) |

| 1. Reception staff were very friendly, that's true. 2. The map published on the internet was not very clear. The signs in the main street can be easily overlooked. 3. The statement on the website: "The Villa Alighieri Residence Hotel offers rooms for various guests ... who need Internet connection..." suggests that the internet is included in the price (paid 80 EUR per night). Actually, it is not. At first the receptionist did not understand what I was talking about. Then he offered only dial-up access from the phone in the room for 5 EUR per 3 minutes!!! 4. Finally, CLEANLINESS. At first it seemed OK. But when you took a closer look, you could easily notice: a. lots of dust under the beds b. spiderwebs on the ceiling c. dirty window frame in the bathroom d. signs of mould in the bathroom. |
