This place was terrible. The door was very flimsy so we didn't feel safe. You could hear what everyone was doing in the next room. The sheets were so worn and thin that if they were washed one more time they would fall to pieces. The bathroom was horrible and cramped, the shower was over the toilet. DON'T STAY HERE! It is a rip-off for the price and the owner obviously doesn't care about providing quality for his guests.

This was a great location right across the street from Vatican City but was a small room in an apartment with a lock on the door and the amenities were pretty spartan - thin walls and minimal bedding. Riccardo was very helpful. If you are just looking for a cheap place to stay this was fine. If you want privacy and a little comfort, it was not. Also it is very hard to find but Riccardo was on the lookout for us ... otherwise we would never have found it. The apartment building is well secured and the area was safe and walkable. It's on the busline and a train stop is nearby.

The term Bed & Breakfast could not be linked to Vacanze Romane. No key was supplied to lock our appartment.(Reason given: there are no other guests!) 1 chair in the room! We would not recommend this property to anyone eventhough it is close to the Vatican.

caretaker would not accept anything but cash which was misleading because we were under the impression that we could pay with a credit card. The bathroom had a really disgusting smell to it. We had to keep the bathroom door closed and the window open all the time to try to live with the smell.

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. The map on the website is wrong so it took a very long time to find the place. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and gave us the most privacy. The only downside was the toilet, which made a lot of weird noise and smelled a bit, but was otherwise spotless and very clean and comfortable to use. The bed was a bit soft as well, but very well kept.

There was a bit ofd confusion, when we first arrived. No-one was there to meet us. When we rang, we were told there was no record of our booking. This was sorted fairly quickly & someone came around to let us in about an hour later.

It was a nice room and very clean, it fits very well if you are attending a papal audience, as it is located right by where you get in line. It was a very nice room, but the location is a bit out of the loop for other sight seeing. The host was all buisness, so expect to be on your own for sight seeing and restaurants.

Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay at Vacanze Romane. The bed wasn't the greatest, but our room was spotless and the continental breakfast was more than adequate.

Assolutamente consigliato. Helga&Marco

The location was excellent. Although not in residence at teh B&B, our host was accomadating and gracious and made sure we would be able to contact someone if we needed anything.

‘Le Vacanze Romane’ is definitely advisable to anyone looking for a B&B situated in the city centre, close to St. Peter’s, in a place that is well served by public transportation and full of bar, pubs and restaurants (if necessary –hope not –, the hospital is close too). The rooms are clean and provided with all comforts, even fresh flowers! Riccardo, the owner, is really nice and absolutely helpful for any tip, request or problem you may have. Enjoy your stay at ‘Le Vacanze Romane’!

Offers clean, spacious and comfortable lodging in a great location. The rooms include individual air conditioning controls. The location, about 10 minutes from St. Peter's Square and The Vatican is great for site seeing. It is in a safe area near restaurants and small groceries. It is convenient to bus and train transportation. The host, Ricardo, prepares a delicious breakfast with several choices. Ricardo was a friendly, helpful, and generous host. We highly recommend the Vacanze Romane to anyone looking for a bed and breakfast near the Vatican or for that matter anywhere in Rome. You will not be disappointed!! L and J Darr, USA
