Carpet was threadbare and the decor was very worn. Stains on curtains. We used the hotel safety deposit box. The last night they couldn't find my form for my box so they just gave me the master key. They let me empty the box without having me sign anything. This did not make me feel secure. Breakfast buffet was okay. No other restaurants close by - everything was about a 10-15 minute walk. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided. TV Remote buttons were so worn you couldn't read them.

This was probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We hated every night, it was so noisy. Our room was by the lift/lobby and we were woken up continuously by drunk americans coming back late and then by people checking out early in the morning. The rooms were old, smelly and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The showerhead was in a stupid position in the middle of the bath and we managed to flood the bathroom twice because the shower head would flail around when you switched it on, despite having the curtain closed. There was no air conditioning and it was 30 - 35 degrees each day. There was a fan to move the air, but we couldn't leave the windows open at night because it was so noisy outside. The area around the hotel was quite dodgy. There was no safe in the room, or tea/coffee service. Based on this experience I will never stay in another Tryp hotel again, if the chain standard is like this. We also found the staff less than helpful. The person who checked us out was positively rude.

The A/C is only in the Lobby and Restaurant not in the Rooms ! During last July the room temperature was higher than the street!

Very nice hotel and very nice stay. One thing however was that after about 9 am on the day of departure I was disturbed about 4 times by housekeeping. Each time the person opening the door to come in. Also Internet is not available in all rooms as advertised - Had to come to reception for the use of it

Travelling with my husband, stayed there for 3 nights, due to a large group occupying most of the rooms, the first night we were given a very small one, but the next day it was kindly changed and we were decidedly satisfied.

Our print pictures from Van Gough museum disappeared when we moved from one room to another. Unfortunately, portier was not able to help us, he was indifferent to our request.

Great hotel in good position, just a few minutes walk from the heart of old Munich. Staff were competent, helpfull and freindly, with no problem speaking and understanding English. We would recomend this hotel for anyone visiting Munich for leisure and sight seeing.

The people serving breakfast was at one point rude; their whole bodylanguage indicated that they wanted us to finish up our breakfast. When we asked for an extra cup it seemed like everything was wrong.

Very good location (only 15 minutes, tops, walking distance from the train station and up to 20 minutes to Marienplatz). Clean and modern, good quality hotel for a very reasonable price. Nice part of town - Theresienwiese is just one block away. Caution: so is St Paul church, whose bells go off every 15 minutes after 7am - I actually enjoyed it, but not everyone would. Didn't have the chance to try the restaurant or the wellness/fitness, but it looked good. NB: breakfast is 13 EUR, but is a VERY rich buffet. I had a discount rate which bought me a "business class" room for 60 EUR, which was spacious, clean and nice. On check-out, though< they wanted to overcharge me, good thing I checked the bill - probably by mistake and not ill-will, as they apologised 100 times after it was found out. Highly recommend this hotel

Hotel is very far away from the city center. Bed laundries were dirty. A pretty bad impression compared to this hotel class.

Excellent value for price. Hotel is in a somewhat run down area, but near train station. The fairly expensive breakfast was not included in the price we were quoted, but it was abundant and good.

The hotel is near the downtown (two stops with S-Bahn), but the surroundings are not the best part of Munich (the area of the main station). My room was clean, but small and not furnished in the best way (from the bed you can't look at the TV). The ratio quality/price is good.

This was a lovely hotel for the price. And it was right near a U-bahn station, for access to the center.
