pleasantly surprised by quality and value for money of the hotel

Perfect for an overnight stay. No frills but priced accordingly - only 5 mins in taxi from Galway city so good location. Feels a little more like a quality hostel than a hotel but secure, clean and nicer than bunking up with 10 other people in a dorm!

Rooms advertised outside hotel as€49 - I paid €169 - cant understand why I was charged so much. Feel it is false advertising. Booked the room for 3 people - there was only 2 towels and 2 cups in the room. Webside claimed that staff wld advise on all attractions - I asked how to get to Salthill roundabout and was told by receptionist that he couldnt direct me even though it is right beside hotel!

Hotel was just as you'd expect for a travelodge - clean and comfortable but basic. It was the cheapest option we could find though so we were more than happy. The only way into the city though was by car or taxi (too far to walk) so if you're going out for a few drinks every night you should factor the extra cost in.

Thought £99 was quite a lot for our room altho clean etc. reception had no record of our booking despite Laterooms having confirmed this to us. Thankfully they had a spare room but not too good an initial moment when you have two small children with you. Not far from city centre on good bus route and secure parking.

Travelodges are ideal for travellers by car. We were using public transport, so had a 20-minute walk, not a problem (bus route, but poor service in evening). Fairly convenient for city centre and usual excellent Travelodge quality.

Hotel was outside of city centre with one restaurant and one takeway - neither of which were great - nearby. The bed was very uncomfortable, the matress dipped in the middle and should have been replaced. Wifi hotspot prices were very expensive, many hotels provide this free.

Basic, basic, basic. More an impersonal youth hostel than a hotel. Felt like it was designed for the stag/hen crowd really. That said, it's about 10-15 min's walk from the city centre so if all you're after is somewhere to put your head down for a night or two it's spot on really.

A hotel for those that don't want extras (such as breakfast included, shampoo, access to pay per view, etc.). Cheapest hotel in the area, clean, safe and close to Galway city centre.

ideal for a one night stay, we were going to a concert, if it was a holiday or break, this is not the hotel to stay in. This hotel should only be used by people who are on a quick one night stay and will be spending only sleeping time in hotel.

On Sunday evening no food was available, the staff and room were of a good standard. However the constant traffic noise despite double glazing was a constant nuisance.

Staff very helpful - Basic but clean - No hairdrier - Lots of road noise but I slept through it (my husband didn't). OK for a one night stop over while travelling.

How was the food or restaurant? Was the hotel easy to get to? Give us your personal opinion on the hotel, and use this as an opportunity to give other guests invaluable information on the quality of this hotel.I was led to believe that leisure facilities was available.I mentioned to the reception staff on the tuesday about my bed covering which was shockingly poor standard. I mentioned that the curtain was hanging off and it was annoying with the light in the morning. I also mentioned that the tv remote did not work. And I asked for water to brush my teeth. All this was discussed and I was told it would be dealt with. It was not dealt with. When I vacated the room and looked under the bed to see if I had left anything, it looked like the carpet had not been hoovered for weeks. Quite a shock. Very poor standard.Further more on the Thursday evening there was screaming and shouting down the hall way and the Friday morning I was woken up at four am and six am with shouting down the hall way. This accomodation is hostel standard and very dissappointing. The food was very poor. Although the service was very friendly from the girl on the Monday evening as she apologised for not having any drinks other than wine behind the bar.I will not be recommending Travelodge.
