Description:
Grand Hotel Reykjavik is building two 14 floors towers that will be connected with the hotel with an atrium. The new main entrance will host the reception as well as "Midgardur" lounge and snack bar, counting some 800 m2 in total. The towers will house 209 new guest rooms that will be as specious as the rooms are at the Grand today. The standard double room will be 27,5 m2, with a large bathroom with beautiful tiles, heated floors, both a bath-tub and a separate shower cabin. The rooms will be luxuriously decorated and well-equipped with amenities such as tea maker, iron and ironing board, safe, high speed internet access, cable and pay TV. Two "presidential" suites will be located on the 13th floor, with 94 m2 reception lounge and 40 m2 bedrooms. The view from the suites will be spectacular and all the rooms will offer great views as well, either over the city or the atrium "Midgardur". The new Grand will have 4 more conference rooms, 2 meeting rooms and 2 reception/banquet rooms. Grand spa with fitness room, massage and beauty treatment, sauna and steam bath as well as a Jacuzzi and sea water tub. The hairdresser will have more space in the new tower across from the spa. With the help of the latest technology the Grand will be the first hotel in the world free of electromagnetic pollution. This has proven to be a great health concern and people feel better in areas free of harmonics. In total the new Grand Hotel Reykjavik will offer: 313 rooms and 14 meeting and conference rooms.

| Our room was never properly made even once during our five day stay. This is the only four star hotel we have stayed at that did not have bath tub and no shower curtain either, so every time one of us had shower , the whole bathroom floor and top of the toilet seat was flooded and the next person had to wipe the floor and the seat dry. Staff were particularly disinterested in serving. |

| Staff was quite helpful, food was excellent and service was also excellent, I believe that wifi could have been without charge and it would have been already calculated in room price. regards |
