I love the Spanish Quarter where this hotel is located - often described as as no go area - it's reputation is much, much worse than reality. Couldn't possibly fault the staff or the locals - extremely helpful and friendly. Roof terrace is fantastic.

The hotel is a small, nice "island" surrounded by a poor and very crowded neighboorhood in an old quarter of Napoli. So considering the not-so-nice surroundings, its quality and interiors really stand out. An the price is OK, too.

The baby cots reserved were not delivered to our room and the lift was very tiny. The public areas were either public smoking areas or they were not so clean (especially the roof garden breakfast area). Although the hotel was located in very near a popular shopping street, the small alley was very dirty and full of honking vespas also at night. Chiaia district would have been cleaner area, but all in all I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND FOR ANYBODY TO VISIT NAPLES, the people are almost friendly, but they just want to take the money of innocent tourist.

I discovered, after booking, that the hotel was situated in an area where tourists were warned to take care when visiting and this may be the reason why there was no photo of the exterior. We arrived just after dark and if we hadnt had a taxi to the hotel, probably wouldnt have ventured anywhere near. The hotel is next to Nuovo teatre (which may actually have been directly under our room)and noise from that went on until the early hours of one morning, in addition to the usual noise of the street, particularly the scooters and motorcycles. The room was a fair size, but was a little short of furniture ( a couple of chairs and a little table would have been nice ). The choice at the breakfast buffet was disappointing especially with empty containers by midway through the session. We were fortunate with the weather and could breakfast on the terrace. I imagine the small breakfast room would have been rather crowded if it had rained. The terrace was perhaps the hotels main asset and we would sit out there late at night, listening to the city noises below.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Toledo - the staff were helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable (although a bit on the small side). The roof terrace is a real bonus. And the hotel is in a good location (i.e. handy for sightseeing and not near Piazza Garibaldi).

A good hotel in Naples. Central to many of the main sights and a short taxi ride from the ferries and trains. (Make sure you negotiate taxi prices before you start your journey!) The hotel is in the liveley Spanish district and there are many places to eat and drink and shop close by. The hotel was friendly, clean and secure, with a fine roof top garden. A good hotel overall, but it seemed a bit pricey, or is that just Naples?
