Our favorite Argentina hotel (of 4 tried on our first trip to country) with stylish, modern hotel features like comfortable beds, excellent buffet continental breakfast (including hot eggs & breakfast meats), accomodating, customer-friendly & well-trained staff, available internet access, and room service. This "Fen" chain of hotels have a kind of classy, European feel to them. Mini-bar prices are not much more than nearby store prices and their spacious suites have stoves and cooking items to go with flatware, plates and dining table. Four star hotel for very reasonable price (105 at time of our travel). Location is central to downtown attractions and easy access to main bus terminal & train station (very limited intracountry train service with comprehensive bus services throughout Argentina), and blocks from San Martin plaza & Florida Avenue shopping possibilities. Many good restaurants within walking distance and street tango dancers on Florida.

I was moved to the Dazzler Suites after another Dazzler ran out of non-smoking rooms. You should be so lucky! Complete kitchen (except for a microwave), desk, two chairs, great bed, huge bath. Breakfast buffet gets boring after three days, that's a problem world-wide. Staff quickly responded to all issues, had an English language paper ready for me as I walked in for breakfast. As I was cautioned about Argentina, brush up on your Spanish. The hotel clerks knew as much English as I do Spanish. There were minor defects in such things as floor tiles, baseboards, etc., but nothing that would interfere with comfort. Security is tight, three men in the smallish lobby at all times. Public internet access from two computers in the lobby, or bring your own wireless notebook to connect. In the room you'll need your own cable, it's a couple dollars US each day.My estimate is that Argentina costs about 25% as much as Europe, about 50% of Asia. The incredible prices on fashions, antiques, food and drink, fun ... will stun you.If you're looking for middle-class comfort at a super-reasonable price, you can't go wrong with Dazzler. My only gripe, like most hotels there's no way to close the door without banging it. WHAM!! Somebody somewhere should be working on that. When you're half asleep, hearing with no warning what sounds like a sledge hammer banging on your door is disgusting.

Unbeatable walk-to-everywhere location in posh area. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and meals. Rooms need better planning, bathroom lacked adequate ventilation."
