Fair price quality ratio. The hotel is in the middle of a street, but still not too loud. For a short stay of 2 or 3 days good choice.

Nice cheap overnight stay before morning flight from Malpensa airport. No designated parking area for cars, but finding a parking spot was no hassle.

We stayed for one night before getting bus to the airport. Owner booked bus tickets for us when we inquired about bus on arrival. Convenient location. Good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Freundlich, engagiert und entgegenkommend, für italienische Verhältnisse gutes Frühstück

It was rather basic and was not as quiet as liked. Not the location for single travellers, despite being in the centre of town. The owners were nice people but in comparison to other places that I have stayed at for this fee this was not good value for money. Arona is also fairly quiet in terms of activities best to move onto Stresa.

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very clean but small and smelled of disinfectant. The noise during the night was unbearable 1) because there is no soundproofing in the hotel and the walls are very thin. 2) because the hotel allows guests to book in at any time of night. 3) because there is a huge hospital across the narrow street, and the night staff stand at the front door smoking and shouting all night long. The young reception staff were too busy larking around on the internet to acknowledge our arrival and the reception area was cluttered and unwelcoming. There were threadbare carpets throughout the passageways. The breakfast was served in the public cafe attached to the hotel but sometimes no seats were available, although the cafe staff were polite and attentive. On the plus side the hotel is near the main shopping street and very close to the lakeside. Arona is a nice town but not as pretty as Stresa which is only a twenty minute bus journey away. There are good ferry connections and the five minute trip across the water to Angera is worthwhile. The statue of San Carlos in Arona is stunning and is within walking distance of the town. I would like to compliment Venere on the quality and speed of their service and I would use this service again in the future.

Good place for the budget-minded This was a very curious place to stay, and not for everyone. Arona is nice, and the hotel is well-located in Arona. The hotel is clean and safe, but generally a little dowdy inside, with improvised repairs, walls gone over with cover-up finishes, etc. Walls were a little thin, but it was generally quiet enough. Breakfast is in the caffe attached to the hotel--this is definitely a strong point--it is the only time in about 40 tries that I have gotten a decent cup of coffee in an Italian hotel. Be aware that the desk is only attended irregularly, so ALWAYS TAKE YOUR ROOM KEY WITH YOU. They will tell you as much. You also can't pay in the morning before 8:30, or by credit card before 9:00 (staff are too busy tending the bar). You have to remember, when staying here, that you are getting a room with bath for 40 Euros. This can make up for a lot of inconvenience!

Fine to stay in for one night as a stopover. Good value, very central for going out in the evening, cheap and cheerful! Can't comment on breakfast as we had to leave to go to the airport but they knocked off 5 euros each so no complaints.

I announced to this hotel a late arrival but when I arrived at the hotel nobody was there and nobody answered to the door and my phone call. I had to find another hotel at 10:30 pm and am really disappointed by the management of this hotel.

The breakfast was rather poor and we left a bit hungry... Well, italian style.- And it was a bit difficult to find a legal parking place for the car. But nevertheless we enjoyed the days there and can recommend the little hotel to others, as long as they do not rise the prices even higher.

Go and see the lakes and the nearby town of Stresa. Also the very picturesque lake of Orta and the villages surrounding it.

The hotel is very friendly and helpful, with limited, but sufficient, English spoken. The rooms are old and spacious. The hotel is above a bar which closes at 1930hrs and it is not a noisy bar, catering mainly for staff and visitors to the nearby hospital. No noisy ambulances at this hospital. 10 minutes walk brings you to the lake. For a low cost, clean and friendly hotel this is the place. I will return to this hotel on my next visit to Arona.
