Great views from room, the porter who brought our bags to our room was really informative about Sydney and we enjoyed our stay overall. Only negative we found was that garage staff mislaid our car keys, which delayed our day trip to the Blue Mountains by an hour while they looked for them!

Very comfortable hotel, very conveniently located though up a steep hill so you have to be fit if walking back! Excellent facilities, staff etc. Club floor very useful with good breakfasts/snacks/aperitifs etc.

Wonderful location overlooking the Opera House, Circular Quay and within walking distance of George Street downtown. Excellent service. Two very good and very expensive restaurants, not unique to Sydney's food prices which are really high. If we return to Sydney we would stay there again; would definitely reccommend it.

The view from the Executive Suite on the 34th floor was amazing, direct views of the opera house, the harbour bridge and luna park, as well as a magnificant view of the harbour and city. The room was exceptionally clean and service was excellent. i've stayed in many top hotels and the Shangri-la was by far the best.

Excellent hotel in excellent location. Room was generous in size and Horizon Club facilities were worth the extra cost. Fantastic views from the Horizon Club lounge. Highly recommended.

I would appreciate a laundry facility in the hotel. Visitors travelling for business can afford to get their laundry done in the hotel but visitors from overseas would appreciate a guest laundry room where they could wash and dry their clothes as in, for instance, the [another hotel] in Wellington.

nice clean room, service poor and confused. breakfast was off putting having to sit at group tables like a conference.Buffett breakfast plain. check in delayed by 2 hours due to delay in house keeping. Overall compared to other 5 star hotels in the city this was not up there in standard

One word..Wow! Everything about the Shangri-la was fantastic, from the moment you approach the hotel the staff are just great. Helpful, friendly and happy staff members who go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after. The rooms are great, awesome views and very clean. I'd recommend this hotel to all my friends and family, and will definitely return next time I'm staying in that part of Sydney. A memorable experience.

Very disappointed to arrive on flight from UK and discover hotel had released my reserved room. At my insistance they located another. it was a smoking room! I insisted on being moved in accordance with my reserved request. Again they initially said they couldn't do that then found a room when i asked to speak to the Manager. As a service experience it was appalling. A plate of fruit in apology did nothing to rectify the position. i will take my business and that of my firm elsewhere in future.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over a very long period, it was very busy at reception when we arrived but the number of staff and those floating(not behind the counter but just massaging incoming and outgoing guests through the process ) impressed me greatly. The room was as expected and the attention to detail first class. I was a little surprised that they had not upgraded the tv and cable tv choices which were shabby compared to my Melbourne accomodation at the RACV!

We were very impressed with the service that we received at the Shangri-La Hotel all the staff that we came into contact were extremely friendly and welcoming. We would ddefinately look to stay at their other hotels across the world when we next travel.

While the view is obviously a very large part of the pricing (and it is spectacular), the rooms are feeling tired and dated.
