Rivamare has been run by the Salmasi Family for four generations. We have to go back to 1938, when Angelo and Angela built it just in front of Venice beach on Lido island. During the Second World War the hotel was occupied first by the Germans, then by US Allied Forces to host the headquarters of the Australian contingency. At the end of the war one of Angelo's and Angela's four sons: Aldo refurbished and enlarged the building completely to continue the family tradition in hospitality. Throughout the 80s Gianfranco and Gabriele followed their father's steps and further improved and updated the facility. Nowadays Micaela and Giulia, daughters respectively of Gianfranco and Gabriele, are carrying on the hotelier’s activity…and they are naturally proud of it! Venice is formed by many islands.
