hotel has an excellent location on the grand canal, near Rialto Bridge.

We learned beforehand that the elevator service is available up to the first floor. A quiet and rather spacious room was assigned with a bathtub as we had requested. The breakfast at the ground-floor terrace was nice overlooking the canal and the Rialto Bridge. The hotel has an easy access, about 10 minutes walk to San Marco. We visited Brano, Torcello and Murano Islands using the vapotetto.

A good Hotel for the price, in a great location. The room was a little small for three of us but was OK. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful.

Although our room was very small and the size of rooms at the same price seem to vary considerably, the room was very European and charming. When we first arrived and went to our room we were doubtful since we had to exit the main building walk to entry in dark alley, we were presently surprised. The location was wonderful, perphaps the best in Venice for sightseeing. Hotel personnel were helpful in finding restaurants. Information on how to get to the cruise ship was lacking, however.

Dissapointing! You're paying for location rather than 4*. The room we had was very small and pokey and certainly not worth €180/night. Breakfast was simple and healthy but nothing special. The service and hospitality was excellent however.

The Rialto was in a great location. We were a little disappointed in our room. The part of the hotel we checked-in at was beautiful, but we were taken out the back of the hotel, down an alley, that was pretty scarry, and into another building that was part of the hotel. I am sure the other part of the hotel was very nice, but it would have been nice to know that we would not be in the main part of the hotel.

The Rialto was well situated. Though room was small it was adequate for our needs. Was a great base as was easy to find and easy to get back to after a day of exploring. Breakfast was more than enough, service was great. Concierge was very helpful and spoke reasonable English which made things so much easier. Would stay there again.

We found the staff at this hotel to be extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. Our room was as requested, and was kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay there very much, and would not hesitate to stay there if visiting Venice again.

The location of the hotel is great. The Rialto bridge was just in front of our room, the view was fantastic!!! The only draw back was the noise from the room up above (a private apartment) - the TV set was on all night long and kept us awake for 2 nights. The staff of the hotel is aware of the problem but nobody warned us about it.

From: sharon cawdron, United Kingdom

Size of the room was good, no tea and coffee making facilties in room. Sheets and towels changed every day. Lift only goes to floors one or 2 and there are levels in between so had to take lift to floor 1 and walk up 2 flights of stairs. Not good for disabled. Breakfast was very limited, if you didnt like rolls with salami, ham or cheese, or stale croissants then you had little choice. Anything like scrambled eggs, or toast, or bacon etc you had pay extra for. Staff were friendly enough but was hard getting any attention or feeling like we were a guest. The walls are covered in a material in the bedrooms....a lovely setting for mozzies!!! Take your plug ins and spray. We went in March and they still got us!!.

The hotel was easy to find when we came late in the evening. The interaction with the personnel at the reception was excellent. They where overall Nice, friendly and helpful and fixed every thing for us. The breakfast areas at the hotel are to small compared to the number of guests but our room was excellent. The city is exciting and charming with lot of things to discover. The small restaurants had an overall rather good quality and friendly attitude. We do no recommend this activities: 1)one was to go to a certain glassblowery at munaro where they where a bit to keen on selling things. 2)we went at a play called the masquerade . The food was OK but the theatre that should be thrilling was a dull story where the actors had more fun than the audience

If you don't like stairs or have problems walking inform them first. We were on the 3rd floor but the lift only went to the first, then it was down corridors, upstairs, round corners - not recomanded if like me you had problems climbing the stairs. But I couldn't fault the staff they were very friendly and helpful

Off-season price was good value, nice friendly staff. Room rather small but bathroom spacious. Stairs to 4th floor (elevator reaches 2nd floor only) quite narrow and steep.

We had arrived early morning around 9a.m and while some rooms were ready it was only a matter of minutes till the others were cleaned and ready. The location is so convient for the water bus and everything in Venice. There was no view from the room but on this occasion it did not matter. Would definitely stay there again
