We had a wonderful time here. The apartment was huge and beautifully finished. The bed was comfortable with a cosy doona, and the view amazing. It took us a while to find the driveway to the property - some signage from the road would be very helpful. Overall it was a unique and special place to stay.

We stayed in one of the two apartments in the unattached building. We had everything we needed; we shopped at the supermarket in Asciano, cooked in our kitchen (with water right from the acquaduct, with straight or filtered options), and ate at a marble table right outside our door, toasting the view of rolling hills and villas with our wineglasses. And last but not least, I must mention the help we got from our kind hosts, Malcolm and Danielle, when we arrived in our car with a fuel problem (my fault); they went out of their way to help us get it fixed right away. We cherish the memory of a wonderful stay!

This was a wonderful place to experience Tuscany and use as a base for visiting Siena, Firenze, Assisi and the Tuscan hill towns, or just stay at Podere Finerrie and relax. Daniela and Malcolm were most welcoming, advising us on where to shop for food, making reservations at excellent local restaurants, recommending worthwhile places to see that are not in the guidebooks and, overall, making sure that we enjoyed our stay. Their website directions were clear and much better than most. We loved the apartment, especially the glorious view of the countryside from our front window and the singing birds. The kitchen, dining and living room area was spacious, clean and well-stocked, and we had the luxury of two bathrooms. There also are many opportunities to explore on foot without getting in your car. Podere Finerri is an outstanding value for the money, particularly compared to city hotel accommodations in Siena or Firenze. Should we return to Tuscany, we would not bother looking elsewhere for a place to stay.
