It cost more to park then the cost of renting a car! This Hotel was close to some good dining places only a few blocks away. The TV was too small the bathroom did not have a hair dryer---they took it off the wall. The outside light came in the room--the curtain did not block them out. In the morning the resteraunt did not open on time.

We were very unhappy with the room upon arrival. It was in an older part of the hotel and was dark, old, smelly, and needing attention. We asked for a room change based on this and the front desk staff handled our request immediately into a room in the Tower portion. We have stayed in this hotel before in the area we were moved to and that was quite acceptable.

The Plaza 500 exceeded expectation, the room was clean, had a cozy feel, and was well appointed. I was especially impressed with the staff, they were well organized, very friendly and accommodating. The location was also very good, in a nice neighborhood, across from the city square for shopping, few blocks from downtown, and seemed to have easy access to city transit. The onsite restaurant the 'Figmint' was amazing, must try. The only issue I had during my week stay was the sliding glass door did allow rainwater to leak onto the carpet. It was my last day there when it happened so i made no attempt to report it to the staff, I however have no doubt that if i did, it would have been resolved immediately. I will return to this hotel, and highly recommend it.

The Plaza 500 was sub standard due to its older room accomidations. We had a bathroom vent that sounded like thunder was rumbling above us. There were also light fixures in the room and bathroom that did not have appropriate covers. The restaurant located adjacent to the hotel was great. The food and the service was extraordinary. The French-press coffee was excellent. The location was across from the transit system which made getting in and out of the downtown area easy.

Good location for taxi access to nearby heart of the the city. Beautiful and handy small shopping mall across the street. Good views of downtown from upper floors. Just eat somewhere else.

The hotel is good except it is a bit noisy and the amenities are not good, such as the iron is broken and no internet connection in the room. The dining place is great. The Chinese restaurant recommended by the staff is terrible. The food served there is bad and smelly.

The room was very spacious and the balcony provided excellent views of the mountains and the city. It was across the street from a small shopping center with a little grocery store, food court and clothing stores. The FigMint Restaurant inside the hotel wasn't that great but the nice room and views made up for it. If you're going there, let them know you want a room with a balcony and a nice view. I'd definitely stay there again.

The Rooms are Spacious but many things including a much needed Carpet Shampoo, have Not been Cleaned in sometime ..On Arrival You Immediately Notice Guests MUST pay $16.00 a day to Park Your Car at the Hotel.. Then I Noticed that Room Service is Cheaper than Hotel Dining...However Dining is A + ...Quite Simply the Food was Absolutely Incredible and in My Book was One of the BEST Restaurants that I have Dined World Wide ! Meals Average about $35.00 a Person But is worth Twice that Price!

It was nice, clean and convenient. Unfortunately, on-site parking was expensive, and the receptionist told us that there was no on-street parking, but we easily found a nearby, safe, free place to park on the street.

The Plaza 500 hotel is well located just outsie the downtown business district. The in-hotel resturaunt is modern decor and a bit on the pricy side. However, across the street is a nice, moderately priced family style resturant. The hotel us a little on the faded grandeur side, but adequate. Our one consideration was that the hotwater heating was turned off in the room and on our second evening the room had chilled. However, they sent a very nice maintenance man after our call and he quickly remedied the matter.

The main lobby was nice and upscale. The hotel was split up into two areas. A newer tower and an old tower. We were sent to the old tower and told there was no room in the newer part. Our room was very old and ugly. We had to work our way through a maze of hallways to get there. The air-conditioning did not work and our room was 85 degrees the whole time. There was also a $20 fee for parking. Was very dissatisfied!

Hotel is not in very good shape, old and worn carpets in hallways and rooms. Hotel is hard to get to as it is in middle of a construction area. Roads are all torn up around hotel.

Our room was in older part of hotel, so not so well appointed. But for the price it was good enough. We just slept there, visited family in the neighborhood so were only there at night. Did not eat there. Beds were very comfortable, good TV. Clean bathroom. Didn't hear neighbors.

Room was fairly gritty - the carpet was wet and it did not look all that clean. We were obviously in the cheap side of the hotel with a view of rooftops. The bathroom was ok. All the staff including cleaning staff on the floors was very friendly.

Poor quality for the $$. Older hotel that has not been kept up. Dirty carpets, stained walls, noisy room - would not return to this establishment. Costly to take cab into down town area - bus stop across the street but was inaccessible to road construction.
