Pros: Great location, English speaking receptionists, internet station. Cons: Some of the rooms look like old furniture storage rooms, very small bath-rooms, no baths and no Jacuzzis and a very poor breakfast. Some of the rooms are very noisy. Not comparable to 3 stars small hotels in other European capitols (poor standards).

i travel alot and use venere often. unfortunately, this is the first time i met with such rude hotel receptionists. the price of the room on this web site is also higher than the walk-in price of the hotel. due to the unpoliteness of the personnel and the price differences, i moved to another hotel next day although i booked for 2 nights.

Had a wonderful time. The best thing about the hotel is its location and the fantastic helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.Free internet, good breakfast and anything we asked was not too much trouble for the staff.

I did not care for the property. Rooms were dismal and overpriced.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Our rooms were terribly depressing. The decor was dark, drab, stark and old. The common area of the hotel is no better. The prices charged vis a vis services rendered were inexcusable. The photos are very misleading. Try another location.

The perfect hotel in the perfect location. The hotel oozes italian charm and the staff are the most welcoming we have EVER met, in fact, we did not feel like visitors to this hotel - we were made feel like very good friends. We had a truly wonderful stay in the Piaza di Spagna and have already recommended it to many others.

This hotel is in a PERFECT location in Rome, very close to the Spanish steps, Parthenon and Trevi fountain. The rooms are spacious if a bit old and run down. The staff is courteous, but was not exceedingly helpful for a single traveler. Free broadband internet access was a big bonus.

If two people are sharing a room ask for a superior room. The standard double room is too small for two. Request a back room; rooms on the front of hotel are extremely noisy. This hotel did not have a restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ladies, bring your hairdryer! The one in our room was very poor. Location is excellent; one minute from subway stop and right near the Spanish Steps. Overall, I would stay here again as long as I could get a superior room towards the back of the hotel. The pictures are somewhat misleading. The foyer is exactly as you see it, however, the rooms are on the gloomy side. The price is reasonable because of the location and the friendliness of the staff.

I was traveling with two friends and found the hotel to be just as advertised. We loved the area and found it close to everything we wanted to see while in Rome. The room was small but adequate for the three of us. The staff was great and very helpful with restaurants and nearby attractions. Would stay there again when next in Rome.

We booked 4 double rooms and the services received before during and after our stay was very good indeed. The staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. 3 of the rooms were on the street which was noisy in the mornings but didn't cause any problems. Overall a wonderful stay and a hotel I would throoughly recommend.

This was a nice hotel in a central location. The staff were very accommadating, knowledgable, and helpful. This was a quaint hotel with lots of atmosphere. We had a lovely room overlooking the main street it was spacious will high ceiling and well maintained and decorated.(Just have to remember to duck between entrance to room if your 6ft or taller.) From this room you could hear the socializing and music so if you plan on sleeping early try another room within the hotel. It was nice to have room service. And housekeepers were very prompt and helpful. It was a good price for being in the Spanish Steps area (which is a pricely location) We look forward to staying again.

A small nice hotel with a friendly, warm welcome in best situation in the middle of rome. Tiny but very proper rooms and bathrooms with everything you need. Front rooms are a bit noisy, but we are "good-sleepers". The front desk is very helpful and competent. The room-rate is quite high, but all hotels in Rome are expensive. We would anytime return and choose with pleasure the hotel "piazza di spagna". Fred + Eleonora Ulmann, Maria + Markus Meienberg from Switzerland.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the gentleman who works the front desk in the evening. Not overly fancy or upscale but clean and comfortable. We would go back to this hotel.

The hotel is situated in the exact area if you want to do shopping in Rome ( or even only window shopping), you don't have to go very far to do it.Also in the area of the Spanish Steps, and of course the Trevi Fountain which is a must, if you have only a few days there.

The location was perfect, and a lot of nice restaurants are there. Playing music at the Restaurant in front of hotel made a noise until midnight, but it was only one night. Other two nights are very quite.

We were very happy with our choice of hotels. Our first overnight stay in Rome, we wanted to be in the center of Old Rome and this was perfect, i.e. within walking distance to Vatican, Collosseum, Forum, etc. We were happy with the hardwood floors and the interiors. With windows open, the noise and activity on the street migrated into the room. The breakfast area was exceptionally small (2 tables), but this we knew this from previous reviews. The breakfast consisted of coffee, rolls and cereal, nothing hot or creative. Desk staff was extremely personable and knowledgable.
