I stayed at the hotel park abbadia for 4 nights with my boyfriend and parents and we had a fanstic stay. The views off the lake from our hotel room were stunning!!! The rooms were always clean and tidy, big size rooms with gorgeous big white fluffy towels! The hotel was very clean, the staff were very polite and hopeful and the breakfast was gorgeous. Having breakfast out on the terrence overlooking the lake was wonderful. Hotel was in a quite area with a couple of restrants around, but also had the train station over the road taking 20 mins to the main eating and tourist town. You could not hear the trains at all and are a most to try as they make you fill like you are back in the 1950's! Amazing place, would def go back again!!!!

This hotel is a good option for travelers on a budget with a car. It has great views of the lake which is directly behind the hotel. There is not much of a beach there, but there is a nice walk way along the lake to enjoy a stroll. The hotel was clean and quiet. There is not much to walk to in the area. You will need a car to drive to other close towns where parking can be difficult.

This is a very nice hotel right on the bank of the Lake Como. A room with a sea-view offers a splendid scenery from the room-balcony. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and very helpful during our stay. Parking (behind a gate) is €5 which seems reasonable prised. Hotel is clean, rooms are nice. The area/city in which the hotel is situated is quite boring. There isn't any city-life to stroll through or any activities for older children. So you need to be able to go 5km to the nearest city for a restaurant or other entertainment. Also the number of activities/features in the hotel is limited. However the hotel-garden offers a nice view for a drink. Also there is a small strip of beach in front of the hotel. Overall I think it's the best value for money we had around the Lake Come (an area that to me appears a bit overprised).

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Lake Como. This hotel seems to be family-ran and as such, goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The recommendations presented by the staff were top-notch. As it was during off-peak times, the hotel upgraded us with no additional charge--this was a nice surprise. The room itself was spacious for a hotel room and the bathroom actually had a shower that would fit "healthy" Americans--hee, hee, hee. Seriously, it was a good size, what you would expect in an American hotel. The views off the balcony were priceless and distance to the beach was approximately 200 yards. The restaurant was not accessible during our visit as there were renovations going on; however, the breakfast provided was of good caliber. It was a continental offering hot items such as eggs; there was more than enough to get a great start to the day. Location of the property was good as most places to visit in area within an hour's drive.

Its a very quiet little town beautiful to explore and very easy to visit the more popular areas of the lake its 10 mins walk to the ferry and 2mins to the train station, walking distance to the best pizza place ever ! also the ice cream parlour with every kind of flavour !

Travelling as a family with two teenagers, when we arrived at the Park Hotel, reception upgraded us to two double rooms rather than the quad room we had booked. The rooms (across the hall from each other) had great views of the mountains and the lake. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. Each room had a stocked bar fridge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. For dinner, the hotel recommended Ristorante "Il Vicolo" and the food was amazing. Because of rain, the hotel provided us with umbrellas. The morning breakfast is typical for Italy with a good selection. Parking is available and the hotel has an elevator to the garage area. The hotel is easy to find and is located much closer to Lake Como than the pictures indicate - a nice bonus. We stayed two nights and I would definitely come back to this hotel.

(-) there were no city maps - Abbadia is a small village, but Lecco is just 8km. away, so maps of Lecco and the region should be available for free. (-) the location on any map (I found), was ~2km to North. Everything else was PERFECT!

superb location , if arriving by train from Lecco, it is right opposite the station. Walk about 5 minutes and you can take a ferry to Como , Bellagio, etc,The next stop on the boat( 5 minutes) is Mandello Lario, well worth a visit to see the town and the Moto Guzzi museum.

We are a couple with one 9year old, we had a great view of the lake but found the hotel very basic for the price, it felt more like a block of offices. Most of the staff were plesant but for one on the desk on arrival.

As written in my seperate mail there was no information that there was a very loud street under our window. It was very noisy and we couldnt sleep. Furthermore we couldnt cancel our reservation (false information)according the staff we were bound to our reservation. That was very angry.

A faire décoter....

We stayed with a baby and a dog for two nights. The staff was very helpful and the rooms are nice (standard). We took a room facing the street which some may find noisy as it it is a fairly main road. The location is great and 100 meter from the lake with direct access and a nice garden facing the lake.

Unless you feel you need to stay in a large town you should consider Park Hotel Abbadia. Abbadia Lariana is a small town just a few minutes drive north of Lecco and it has only local traffic through the main street. The busy road along the shore of Lake Como is not heard in the hotel in spite of having the lake shore at just a stone throw´s distance. The staff are multi-lingual and very helpful. You can be provided with access to the hotel´s wireless internet connection for your laptop or use the computer provided for the purpose, all courtesy of the house. Meet the locals in the hotel bar as you have an espresso or capuccino with the unbeatable aroma you rarely get outside Italy!

On a small public park on the east side of the least visited arm of Lake Como- very comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. Has a small cafe bar and is next to a restaurant, in a nice but nondescript town...but the views of the lake and the sunshine it gets out on its point in the lake are wonderful! New and charming.
