When we arrived (a group of 7 people and a child), it turned out that a "triple room" means nothing more than a double room with a pull-out-chair, for which you have to pay the full price. All the rooms seem to have this chair, and if you want a room for 4 people, 2 will get normal beds and the other 2 the pull-out-chairs. We had no linen on one of the beds, no soap in the bathroom (during the whole stay). The heater in our room couldn't be turned down so it was extremely hot in the night, and to make it worse we also got a room at the main entrance so we had a huge light in front of the window as well - not to mention the noise. All these things are unpleasant, but we could live with them. The service in the hotel, however, topped it all. Whenever we tried to have a polite conversation with the receptionist, she not only insulted us, kept asking "what is your problem?", lied to us about not speaking English (we witnessed her talking English to someone else), insulted us several times while talking about us to the bar keeper (!). Granted, she admitted she only had 1 months experience but for heavens sake, this does not justify her rudeness and arrogance! In the restaurant, any time we ate there, we had to wait for ages for someone to come and take an order. After we got our food, the waiters never came to ask if we'd like another drink, or anything else, we had to look for them ourselves. We also witnessed a married couple with a handicapped child in a wheelchair who were given a room on the 1st floor (no elevator) even though they were promised a room on the bottom floor. When we were leaving we were told we cannot pay with credit card or any other card for that matter. Only cash is accepted.

We were a family of four, and we booked a connecting double room with a shared bathroom. Rooms were clean and comfortable; however toilet paper, a little on the rough side, no bed sheets (a little strange!)and only one set of towels per person per week. Despite this imposed eco friendly regime, we found the staff extremely friendly, made every effort to accommodate our "irishness", always served us with a smile and got used to our requests at dinner time, for bread and butter with our soup, so that by day two, bread and butter was placed on our table without request. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, especially to families, as it is safe, comfortable, breathtaking views from the balcony,& "tubing" available on site
