Hotel was well located on key bus route. Also easy to walk to nice restaurants in the evening. Reception staff were good. I would stay again.

A very clean and serviceable lodging for a single traveler. Room was typically small, but with a clean and modern bath. But,it was the friendly and helpful staff that made for an excellent stay. Valentina, Mario 1 and Mario 2 are delightful, as are the others, but I've brain-cramped on names. Very walkable to all sights and 10 minute walk to train station. I felt safe in the area as a single female traveler. Good restaurants around and a grocery store and pharmacy a block down. Will be returning to Rome in 6 weeks for a previously planned commitment, and will be bringing a travel companion. Have chosen to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel Miami is ideally suited in the centre of Rome on Via Nazionale. We spent 3 nights there in August 2008 and it was an ideal base for exploring Rome. It is within walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions apart from the Vatican which is a short bus ride away on bus 40 or 64. The hotel is about 30 mins by Taxi from Ciampino airport and costs about €40 for a one way trip. Be prepared for some typical Italian driving with the taxi drivers!! Over taking into oncoming traffic is a speciality! The area the hotel is located in is very good, safe and relatively quiet at night time. There are plenty of shops in the locality and loads of lovely restaurants on the side streets used by locals and also a few bars (and yes there is an Irish pub!). The Via Nazionale can be busy during the day and they were re-laying the cobblestones while we were there. I'd advise you to e-mail the hotel in advance and request a quiet room at the back of the hotel like we did. It looks out on to a car park and some other apartment blocks. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodated any requests we had with a smile. The reception area is small, but the room and ensuite were spotless with TV, aircon, safe and mini bar. The room was a good size with tiled floors which were great for cooling the room in the August heat. It was over 38 degrees C the day we arrived so the aircon in the room really did the job. There is an adequate continental breakfast served on the 5th floor including a good selection of ham/salami/cheese, cereals, juices, tea/coffee, bread and pastries. More than enough for a light breakfast before setting out for the day. We'd thoroughly recommend the Hotel Miami as a base for exploring the beautiful city of Rome and will definitely use it again if we return to Rome some day in the future.

The Miami is perfectly located. It is a 10 minute easy to walk, easy to find location from the train station. There is bus and taxi transportation right in front of the hotel. There are no hotel amenities except for a nice breakfast room on the 5th floor, but the reasonable price compensates for this. The desk clerks are helpful and multi-lingual.

the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and about 100 yards from Piazza del Repubblica on Via Nazionale. It was a great location and all of the major sites were easily accessed on foot. St Peters and the Vatican museums were probably the furthest attraction but there was a bus stop just out side the hotel on the main street with buses heading there every 5-10 minutes! We also felt really safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The room was more than adequate and surprisingly quiet considering it was on a very busy main street. We were on the 5th floor and I got the impression this was the only floor of the building with hotel rooms, the other floors seemed to be offices of some kind. The breakfast wasn't superb but there was cereal, yoghurts and bread rolls which were fine - italians don't really take a big breakfast anyway.

Stayed at Hotel Miami last year & returned this year. Location is very convenient to Metro and can walk to some of the sights. Helpful staff. Rooms very clean. Usual small size of room typical of many European hotels.

Convenient location, good breakfast and clean towels, but small rooms and tiny bathrooms. The air-conditioning and bathroom drainage in one of our two rooms don't work well.

Date of Stay: June, 2008
We stayed for three nights in June 2008 in a "quad room." The simply furnished room was outfitted with a king bed and two cot-like single beds on either side. The king bed was comfortable enough, but the cots were not great. The bathroom was modern, clean, always had hot water. The room was not spacious, it barely fit the beds, but then we didn't spend much time in the room, so it was fine. It was quiet, temperature was good. Breakfast was your usual continental breakfast with pastries, ham , cheese, cereal, canned fruit, etc. Pastries were fresh and good. Coffee was dispensed from a machine but the attendants prepared fresh caffe lattes for me since that was not a choice from the machine. Dining room was usually fairly full and busy. Not a calm breakfast, but a good, fast one to get your day started. 10 minute walk to the train station. Centrally located for all of the tourist sites. We walked everywhere, except to St. Peter's and we took a bus there. The Miami is right on the bus line and the stop was a block away. The best part of the Miami hotel was its staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They arranged for a van to the airport that was a good value. They also told us where to buy bus tickets and what bus to take for the Vatican and made suggestions on what to see. Overall, it was a fine experience and fine quality.

Beautiful hotel, elegant, immaculate rooms, very hospitable, knowledgeable staff, I wouldn't stay anyplace else in Rome. Perfect location, close to Termini Station, metros, short walk to the Forum, excellent shopping just outside the door. Highly recommended.

An excellent hotel in a central location, close to Metro, not far from the Termini and all the sites. The hotel is a beautiful building and the rooms were spacious and clean. The reception staff were very helpful.

This was what it said on the box - a cheap place to stay, near the station, in Rome. The room had 4 beds in but very little room to manouevre - it was obviously for 3 normally and not a proper quad. The room was very hot but the AC soon sorted that out. Breakfast was the normal rolls and ham. It would have been good to have had fresh coffee rather than from a vending machine though! The breakfast room was nice and quiet. The staff in the daytime were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in an office block and takes up floors shared with businesses, the reception is in a different part of the building to the rooms, very strange set-up! Was fine for one night but not somewhere I would want to stay for any length of time.

Camera molto silenziosa. Pulizia ottima. Hotel ideale per un soggiorno a Roma, in quanto situato in posizione centrale dalla quale si può raggiungere rapidamente qualsiasi punto della città.

We spent 5 nights in Rome in October 2007 and were delighted with the hotel. It is very well located, within walking distance of major sites for those who like walking while the main bus routes through the city linking the sites (Nos 64 & 40) stop virtually outside the hotel. Close to shops & restaurants. Hotel was very clean, staff very welcoming, very informed to assist visitors, and spoke several languages. Rooms were fine with air conditioning which, even in mid-Ocyober was appreciated. Though on a main route, noise wasn't a problem - location and convenience easily outweighed this.

Don't accept room 414, it smelled of mold and and the a/c leaked into the room. The night manager didn't want to help when I requested another room. I also indicated that my girlfriend suffured from allergies triggered by mold but to no avail. The morning desk person was much more helpful. In general, the worst hotel of my trip to Italy. One desk person, I believe Marco, was extremely great and is the reason I rate the hotel as I as I did.
