We Stayed in Hotel for only 1 night the location of Hotel was very good , as walking distance from main station Termini and Republicca, The only small problem was room was facing the road and it was noisy in night. but i didnt ask for other room as i havent had any problem with that little noise. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. if someone want to stay in center of Rome i would recommend this hotel. Kind regards

They had just installed new windows to make the room more soundproof. That was really nice to know. The only drawback was the inability to control the room temperature, but I think that also was being worked on. Breakfast personnel could have been more friendly. But it is a great location and they gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

We reserved a quad room. When we arrived we were given a room with a double bed and a cot. They told us that that was a quad room when I protested. Next day we were changed to a quad room only after I insisted or said we were leaving. Elevator doesn't work most of the time and the hotel is on the 4th floor. Never again!!

room was clean and roomy, breakfast room very small you need to be there early to get a seat and the breakfast is very basic but nice, i found the female workers not very pleasant but the male workers were very pleasent. Overall the location was great and we had a very enjoyable stay at the martini.

This hotel left much to be desired. The staff asked that we pay in cash, the rooms were cramped and did not seem clean, and the entire hotel reeked of smoke. We will not return to this hotel, nor would we recommend it.

The Hotel can be reached by a 10 minutes walk from roma termini station on the busy street where there are many other hotels, shops, restaurants and a supermarket opposite. It is just a couple of minutes walk from the metro station and all main places of interest in roma are within walking distance from this hotel except Vatican city. The hotel is situated at the fourth floor of an old building next to a bar/restaurant and you need to buzz the bell to get in. A small hotel of 14 rooms but is clean and has all the basic necessities for a good stay. The staff are friendly but the breakfast room is a bit small with 4 tables and the spread is reasonable based on a 3 stars hotel standard. Will recommend this hotel for travellers with a mid range budget.

The hotel is located on a very busy/noisy road & the hotel staff(with one exception)were extremely discourteous. The bed was very uncomfortable,we both had backache after 4 nights, bathroom was tiny & no drawers in room.I was asked to pay my bill the night before leaving & when my credit card did not work the receptionist asked if I had enough money to pay the bill & insinuated sarcastically that we would leave at 05:00 without paying. It turned out it was the hotel's credit card machine that was unserviceable. The staff were incredibly rude througout showing almost contempt to us.The breakfast room was tiny & the recepionist acts as waiter also which seemed to cause them much annoyance. My wife & I would not recommend this hotel at all as there are many better hotels in Rome. Not value for money at all.

Schönes kleines Hotel, es wird gut und gerne Deutsch gesprochen, sehr familiär geführt und jede Frage wird gerne beantwortet.

The hotel is on the 4th floor accessed by a 2 person lift. The first room that was offered, faced the street and was far too noisy. We then changed to the rear of the hotel for the remainder of our 6 day stay and the room was very good. The breakfast room is very small. the breakfast selection was adequate however if you arrived late the selection was limited.

The hotel was in a great central location, close to the train station and subway, and walking distance to everything. The rooms were small but nice and comfortable. There is a nice common area to relax in, which was nice because we were traveling with friends and the room was a little cramped for all of us to sit in. Breakfast was very good - excellent pastry's, yogurt and bread and meat. The staff was not overly friendly, but they were accomodating and spoke English fairly well. The only complaint I would have about the hotel was that it is on a VERY noisy street, which is the trade off for bsing in a central location. I would recommend asking for a room in the back of the building, not overlooking Via Nazionale as we were - I think it would be a bit quieter. A week earlier we stayed at Hotel Selene which was close by, and I would recommend it over Martini.

Very pleasant indeed. Tastefully decorated & offering good value for money. The Breakfast room is tiny & the breakfast itself a little sparse …. But this is probably the norm for Italian city hotels of this standard rating. Location is relatively central & walking distance from a number of key sites, including Coliseum & Termini railway station. Good bus routes outside the hotel & the main bus / train hub at Termini is 5 minutes walk away. There are just enough bars & restaurants within walking distance to satisfy & a late opening ‘Irish’ Bar next door (if you must!). Bottom Line – certainly stay at the Martina again.

Staff friendly and helpful; double bed very uncomfortable first night, but the owners gladly replaced the mattress for us. Breakfast room small but adequate; breakfast unexciting. Venere price was a little less than the hotel's published B&B rates. We drove into Rome and it took some time to work out where to park while we unloaded. Ended up parking illegally like the rest of the Italian drivers! Some advice on this detail on the web would be useful to anyone else crazy enough to drive into Rome.

good hotel for Rome, relatively easy to find and good location - took about 20 mins to walk from station with all our luggage. Our room was a bit small and shower was a bit hot/cold/hot, but aircon kept us cool and didn't have too much traffic noise with the windows shut. Breakfast room was too small though and the couple we were with had to wait for a free table. Hotel staff were helpful and let me store some gifts in the fridge. Also booked a taxi for us which was the highlight of the holiday - Gianni Locarino gave us a highly entertaining and informative guided tour of Rome and only charged 45 euros to get to Ciampino

Great Hotel in very convenient section of the city. The breakfast area was small and lacking a little on the "food" but was adequate. I liked the location and would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a 3 star hotel and get the feel of Italy. Rooms were clean. The staff arranged to have a driver to the airport upon departure and the man who took us was prompt and courteous. When we travel from the USA again, I would definitly consider this Hotel if we stay in Rome.

Good, central location. Lobby on fourth floor. A bit constrained, but very helpful staff.

The staff was very gracious, friendly and helpful. The location very loud, also at night, as Via Nazionale is a key traffic artery. However, the location is a little over 10 minute walking distance from Termini Station, thus very central. Though the view was as in the picture, it's actually more cramped; not worth taking the room because of the view. Location and service great; but all the rest - loud.
