This hotel was very good value for money. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I found the restaurant staff to be less friendly and the quality of the food was below what I would have expected. The breakfast plates were greasy but the staff did bring clean ones when asked. The leisure facilities are excellent and of a very high standard. We had a very comfortable stay and it is a shame that the restaurant does match the high standards throughout the rest of the hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. The hotel looks the part & the rooms were of a decent size but there were stains on the bedcovers & the bedcover was upside down-also the room was not cleaned fully each day!The breakfast was ok but not enough food/orange juice etc----food soon ran out & was not replenished quick enough.Staff seemed pleasant enough & not a bad location if you have a car to explore Ireland!

The only negative I had about the hotel was, with a large crowd in the hotel they found it hard to cope in the red bar with bar food. The manager said the chefs were under pressure.

Quality of the food was good but very expensive. Limited access time for children to use the swimming pool.

Fantastic Hotel with easy access to Dublin if you are driving, massive room and very clean. Perfect for the one night away business trip and could do 3 nights there without feeling uncomfortable.

A brilliant standard of accomodation at a very reasonable price. Only a 20 minute drive from dublin airport. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel as felt the price of 22 euros was a bit steep, however this did not affect our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Great, modern and friendly hotel in a great location.....Ashbourne appears to be an up-and-coming destination with new shops being opened recently and lots of bars/restaurants nearby. Also very close to other destinations ie seaside resorts etc.

Hotel was further outside Dublin than advertised. The shuttle service provided was very good and the driver had good local knowledge of the town.Overall a good place to stay at again.

Our last stay in the Johnstown Marriot Hotel, where we had a wonderful meal led us to book our evening meal in the Ashbourne Marriott, what a disappointment. Although the Dining Room staff were very friendly they seemed to be short staffed and we had to wait a long time for our main course. My Caeser Salad starter had a more than generous amount of Parmesan cheese but it was just as well as my main course of Vegetarian tartlet was a disgrace. The pastry shell was burnt and the vegetables undercooked , the aubergine in the side dish of ratatouille was also very undercooked which made it inedible and my husband's salmon was under cooked in parts. The Champ side dish was the only tasty part of the meal. It would appear that thre were not enough staff in the kitchen and those that were couldn't cope with the number of diners. We did complain and were given Breakfast in lieu of the disappointing meal and would only hope that if these are teething problems they are soon sorted as the Hotel was badly let down by the Kitchen.

Price didn't include breakfast, so was shocked to see the prices of breakfast (22Euros each), there was no chance of me choosing to eat a breakfast there, no way ANY breakfast could be worth that money!!!

The quality of the hotel was outstanding. from the reception /foyer through to the rooms themselves. Very very clean. Spacious rooms kitted with 2 of the softest comfiest double beds, 26" widescreen TV, safe, computer point ... I could go on and on. Hard to believe you get this for such an amazing rate. and only a short drive from Dublin. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside - dining is a little expensive. Go on - treat yourself - I will again that's for sure.
