I liked the fact that this hotel was located in a central location (right on O'Connell Street in downtown Dublin) and provided free internet access to all guests. This hotel was very quiet, despite being located in a busy area. It would have been nice if the bar area had been staffed at night (past 9pm) when most of the other places in the area closed down.

The location is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very adequate and had good space. The rooms were very warm though and my window did not open. But overall I would recommend this hotel for those wanting to stay in the centre of town.

1. It's location really was in the centre of Dublin. 2. The lack of smiles from the staff struck me.

We were pleasnatly surprised to find a comfortable hotel with good facilities in a central location for around the same price as we paid for B&B in much less convenient locations in other towns in Ireland. Would recommend to friends.

The location was perfect, very close to the shopping streets and popular bars. The room was a bit small and very warm but the location made up for it. Pleasant staff. Good experience.

The hotel location was fantastic. Less than 10 minutes walk from Templebar. Hotel room wasn't very nice, but the price and the location made it bearable for the one night we stayed. Wouldn't stay there for longer unless on a boozy weekend away.

Perfect setting (walking distance/ nearby public transport to everywhere) though hard to find hotel itself as facade is hidden among shops etc - it's right opposite the Spire. We had no view, as room was at top of hotel behind wall at edge of roof -- check if you want to see Dublin from your window. Minor problems with bathroom were seen to immediately. Breakfast not included in price, but very good value.

I booked this hotel via laterooms on december 2007 and when we arrived at Lynams we were told that our room had been given to someone else. The hotel receptionist booked another hotel for us some 15 minutes walk away. They did provide a taxi for us and a reduction in the cost of our stay. They also provided a complimentary meal. However we were extremely disappointed that we were unable to stay in the hotel we booked in the city centre albeit that the alternative hotel the Aisling hotel was a fine hotel and we would stay there again. Therefore, I would not recommend Lynams for a booking.RegardsLiam Clarke

This hotel is a good location, easy walking around dublin, to trinity college, temple bar, and close to shopping. If you are coming from the dublin airport the airlink bus drops accross the street from hotel and the pick up and bus office is just a couple of doors down the street, this was very useful. Hotel is fairly clean, The price that we paid was good value for dublin accommodation. The beds are not big enough but we got by

Location is perfect for what we needed. Dublin Bus to Blarney was several doors up. Eirann Express Bus to Cork was within walking distance. Airlink Bus from airport dropped off within a block of hotel. Staff was very helpful with information. Room and bathroom were clean. Had plenty of hot water. Had wireless internet in room and landline in lounge. Had no problems walking around at night. Only complaints...walls very thin (but I brought my earplugs so it didn't bother me, my husband was plugless and said he heard everything)...the shower door was broke so water got on floor (but just wiped it up with towel)...the bathroom window didn't close all the way(it was chilly at night but just shut door so the room stayed warm). FYI we did not mention anything to the staff though so not sure if anything would have been done about it. For the price we paid we didn't even really care about the faults.

Absolutely awesome location, that can't be beaten. Ideal if you plan to be out and about in Dublin most of the time and not chilling out in your room. It's not luxurious in any way, but the linen and bathroom were clean and for a few days it suited us really well.

Very central hotel; couldn't ask for a better location. Our room turned out to be very small and unfortunately had a bed only about a foot wider than a single despite the hotel describing it as a double room - not great for a romantic weekend away! Room and bathroom were, however, very clean. Still good value for money with the discount on this site but we are still baffled that the hotel decided against installing a normal size double bed! Perhaps this is a policy they will rethink!

Hotel was very clean and room was a good size and comfortable. We arrived late 11.30 pm and this didn't cause any problems for the staff at all. it was quite noisy -from adjacent rooms. Main issue was the food- breakfast the next morning - Irish and continental was average but the food was not well presented and stingy. The staff here did not seem terribly interested and wanted to move you on as soon as possible as there were not enough tables. I'd book the hotel again but would have breakfast elsewhere in future.

The hotel really was only a few minutes from Temple Bar.Very convenient for shopping and for the bus service from and to the airport(Number 747) only 11 Euro's per person return. Airport and hotel workers very helpful and polite. Would not hesitate to book again and have already recommended it to friends.

I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere in the centre of Dublin. It's literally opposite the Spire. My room was quite small and basic but very clean. The only thing is that when standing in my bathroom I could hear everything going on in the next guest room - word for word! So the walls are a little bit thin. I wasnt happy that my room was on the first floor and the outdoor smoking area was directly outside my bedroom window so there were people coming and going all the time and sitting directly outside my room, the curtain wouldnt close properly either. All in all however the staff were very friendly, the hotel is clean and secure and I would stay here again (just not in that room).

There is not wireless internet access in all the rooms as you are led to believe.I had a couple of problems not getting what I asked for, but the staff did everything possible to help me and were very professional. Luggage storage would be nice. Restaurant staff a bit grumpy. But nonetheless, great location, very confortable rooms and generally very good value.
