Truly classy hotel, with excellent location on the Corniche. The place exudes class throughout, from the rooms to the corridors, the reception area and the breakfast room. My only complaint is about noise - whilst the location is great, the hotel is sandwiched by two of the busiest road junctions in Alexandria. The noise from the street is terrible until about midnight. So even if you have a room with a sea view, you need to keep the window shut all the time. Other than that, an excellent stay. The hotel staff is very friendly and the price tag very low considering the quality.

Rooms are very grand, plush and spacious. Came in early to drop my bags off but they let me check in immediately as there was a room free (around 10 am). Traffic noise is a problem but I think this applies to all the hotels in the area.

Good central location, with all advantages and disadvantages you can expect, near shops/taxis/library, constant car/tram m noise /dirty streets etc. Very olde worlde/colonial style-worth the experience.Much better than [other] hotels, which are outside town in an expensive ghetto, no shops, no animation lethal off- season. No reason to go to Alex if you want to stay in a ghetto ..better to go to a club Med type set up.

Extremely helpful personnel, great location and charming genius loci. Bathrooms do not really match the rooms, but they are very clean a fully equipped. There is noise from the street but it is bearable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great hotel when compared to some of the other places we stayed in other parts of Egypt. Staff friendly and hotel very clean. Restaurant has extensive breakfast menu, and even dinner is worth a try. Definitely good value for money!

Very centrally located hotel. We stayed at this hotel at the begining & end of our trip. The room provided at the beginning was great...the room we got at the end of our trip was perhaps the worst in their hotel. Do NOT stay in the rooms that end with 21 (eg 321, 221 etc) as they are corner rooms with a very large bed and no space to even walk! The flush did not work so we had to use the restaurant's facilities! Their ladies at Guest Relations and bell boys are very friendly and helpful but none of the other staff were courteous enough.
