Participating in a Congress in Mondello, we chose to stay in a B&B rather than in one of the two or three big hotels at the beach, and we will never regret our choice of “Il Mio Giardino”. House and garden behind a large protective wall are a jewel to discover once you entered through the gates. The garden has a large variety of trees, bushes and plants flowering at different seasons and providing large shady sitting areas where you can enjoy relaxing times while submerged in all kinds of fragrances. The living is kept in Asian style, and large windows make you feel as if being in the gardens. The bed and bath rooms are functional but with the frienfly touch of the hostesses. Valeria and Maria Pia do a great job to make you feel comfortable. The friendly atmosphere might let you forget that you might have business to do. Breakfasts are served in style with fresh fruits, sometimes house made cakes and excellent coffee. In addition, do not hesitate to ask Valeria to fetch you at the airport or to drive you there, the personalized service will never be matched by a taxi. Her suggestions for restaurants are definitely the best, and, in some cases, the owners of the restaurants will fetch you at the B&B and will bring you back, too. Visiting the treasures of Palermo and its surroundings while enjoying a calm and cosy stay at “Il Mio Giardino” is certainly one of the best choices you can make, when staying in Sicily.

It was our first visit to Mondello as well as to Sicily at all. Me and my spouse have spent marvelous days staying in Il Mio Giardino. "Giardino" is actually pretty large tropic garden full of fantastic flowers and plants giving you a pleasant shadow. Interiors of the rooms designed in Japanees style and surounded by plants are really comfortable, stylish and quiet. Valeria - the owner of this B&B paradize, together with her personal, creates so friendly atmosphere at this home that you do not need to hurry up to the beach every morning. Breakfasts in the Giardino served with fresh fruits from the garden are really unforgetable. The location of the place is defenitely one of the best in Mondello - you live in a quiet garden just five minutes walk from the beautiful beach and tavernas, pizzerias, bus stop to Palermo and everything you may need. By the way, restaurants along beach are not the best in Sicily, but Valeria recommended us "Da Franco" which is really one of the best in whole Italy. So, it was a great pleasure not only to be at sea, to visit famous historical sights with Medieval mosaics, but also to stay at so personal Il Mio Giardino.

Great location in Mondello with easy access to restaurants and beach (5 minute walk). Palermo is only a short ride away on frequent buses. The owner was very helpful and kind once we managed to find the B&B in the dark ( Italian street names are almost impossible to see at night). We used the website map and a Google route finder but neither were clear enough. It has a very beautiful peaceful garden which we were free to enjoy during the day. The breakfast was the best we had in Sicily. Large people would find the bathroom cramped. A place that I can recommend highly for the care and detail that has gone into providing comfortable accommodation and the helpfulness of the owner.
