Getting there. Ferries run to Juist from Norddeich on the East Frisian mainland. Departure times vary, depending on the tides. The passage takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Small passenger planes also fly between Norden Airport and Juist.
Getting around. Motorised transportation is limited to the fire department and medical doctors. Horse-drawn taxis are available, but bicycles are probably the most convenient way to explore the island.
