Rooms were simple, clean and spacious. Breakfast was poor. Worst of all was the noise from one room to the other. During the night I could hear people's conversation on the phone, word for word. One night I had to bang on the wall with my fist to keep the noise down. How bad would the noise be during high season? I will not come here again.

Nice enough hotel but area is a bit dodgy. You have to make it past the groups gathered on the street beside the huge betting shop next door and the garbage strewn on the road. The guy at the shop at which we purchased our tram tickets suggested we take off any jewelry that might attract muggers. HOWEVER, barring that, it was a fine place from which to see the sights; close enough to the main train station, a block from the tram line which gets you to restaurants. There's a pizzeria below the hotel that plays music loudly for some time in the evening, but that was just one night of our stay. Rooms were clean though basic, simple breakfast served in the room (it rained, no chance of rooftop meal), staff were friendly enough! Naples is Naples -- I think the establishment was good for where we were, and even then, the fear-factor may have been more shock-factor than anything (it's a very different culture than what we're used to). Overall: good value for money.

Wonderful staff, try to help and communicate. Wonderful rooms. I can't say enough about the resturant attached to the hotel and the family that runs it. When you order ask for Enzo and mention my name "Ken" very very nice people. Excellant food. Not far from Corso Umberto. You can actually walk to the Train staion in 15 mins.

The hotel from the airport by taxi is a must or you will get lost albeit you will be overcharged, from train station only 10 minutes walk. Enroute to hotel the surroundings are very rundown but once there and in the hotel no problem. Main street is a few seconds walk round corner from hotel. Hotel staff so welcoming and helpful nothing a problem . If weather allows have your breakfast on the terrace not much to see but very nice to eat there. Fabulous pizza parlour right next door to hotel highly recommended and very cheap in comparison to some outlets in Naples. Overall I would recommend hotel without hesitation whilst Naples itself is charming .

This hotel is the best thing we experienced in Naples! The price was cheap and the room was nice and clean. We were offered breakfast either in our room or on the terrace/roof - the roof is gorgeous. The only critisism I have is that the staff don't have fantastic english. The map provided wasn't very detailed so the hotel was a little hard to find.

The hotel offered excellent value for the money. A beautiful spacious room (no view), a pleasant roof garden for breakfast. It was very convenient for exploring the historic part of town in the daytime, but in an area where all shops shut down in the evening, so nighttime choices were sparse unless you took a taxi. We did not consider the area dangerous as some others have written - just closed.

The hotel was well choosen at a walking distance from the railway station piazza Garibaldi, the sea-shore and the historical centre piazza Plebiscito. No real complain on hotel itself except a minor problem a water from shower not running away fast enough. Few restaurants in the vicinity. It must be pointed out that Naples is a large and dark (due to the basalt stones) city with deficient public services. Papers and plastic bags litter the ground (ex piazza Mercato), garbage dumps may be seen everywhere (30 metres from hotel door) as filled-in public dustbins, without being cleaned up. There are also many road-works (p.Garibaldi, corso Umberto, via Sanfelice) but no-one may be seen at work! Vehicles are parked anywhere and the traffic is heavy. Most traffic lights don't work. For foreigners public transport is difficult to cope with. Tickets must always be purchased at tabacchi never in the bus! Funicolari hidden among buildings cannot be found easily... Street vendors and shopkeepers display their goods outside or on the pavement... Surprizingly no-one seems to mind the situation People are quite friendly and ready to help. And there is much to be seen... By comparison staying further south along the coast is relaxing, although the traffic on the narrow roads or through the towns is generally hair-raising...

Recommendable!! Our room and bathroom was very spacious - not very likely in Italy. We enjoyed the breakfast on the roof terrace! The despription of how to find the hotel was not good. Rely on a map!!

When I first arrived the taxi driver did not know the area or the location of the hotel. The driver dropped me off right next to what looked like an abandoned building. I was ready to have the driver take me to a different hotel but he had already left. I was actually 1 block away from the hotel and when I reached the hotel I was now at ease, especially after being welcomed by Claudia. Claudia was very helpful and so were the family run restaurant next door. The food was absolutely delicious.

A really nice hotel tucked away in a poor part of Naples. Having said that, I walked back to the hotel late each night and felt perfectly safe. Everything was exactly as expected - the hotel was clean and very good value for money and , with the exception of one rather gruff female receptionist, the staff were welcoming and helpful. I will return soon.

The staff was very friendly, spoke English and very helpful from arranging cabs to directions to tourist attractions. The breakfast was very satisfying. We ate at the restaurant next door and although none of the staff spoke English, we had an amazing dinner. No menu, so trust the staff, cost 35 euro for 3 of us including wine and we had more food than we could eat. It was a true Italian dining experience. Stay here and go to Pompeii!!

Don't hesitate to use this hotel on your short Naples visit. The room we got where well cleaned and spacious. The guarded car parking is placed a few blocks away and the service minded employee willingly showed us the short way by sitting into the car. The "normal Italian" breakfast is served on the terrace where you can se the interesting "roof-life" of Naples. This is a really good place!

Naples is very dirty town and after seeing one woman robbed by scooter with classic way I must SAY: never again in Naples. But pizzas best in the world and next door to hotel I must say was the very fine pizzeria.

The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk (with luggage) from Naples train terminal / Piazza Garibaldi and was quite easy to find. The area around the hotel is devoid of life after dark and I would not recommend walking the streets alone at night. During the daytime, there are lots of people out shopping in the clothes stores and outlet shops. It is an easy walk to the historical centre to visit the Duomo, other churches and the museum. The hotel was clean and well presented, the room had a TV with cable TV and a bar fridge (prices were quite reasonable). There is a computer with free internet access for guests in the foyer. Breakfast was served on the roof-top terrace, which was very pleasant. I highly recommend the hotel for short stays, but if you are planning on staying in Naples for a week, then I'd recommend somewhere closer to the restaurants. There is a pizza restaurant next door which was very cheap, but I'd only eat there if I was too tired to go somewhere else.

The hotel was great, however Naples itself was not. I would call it a sh**hole. The only reason to go to Naples is if you are going to the port to head on a boat. Don't spend the night! It's scary at night and there's nothing to do during the daytime. But if you must spend the night, then this hotel was great. Beware, it was very difficult to find. We got lost and nobody spoke english! So make sure you brind the address and ask local stores in italian to help.

The best thing about this hotel is the attached Pizzeria. We had dinner that night there due to the dark surrounding area which didn't look that safe. We had no menu presented--just---Mangia!! Mangia!!. A beautiful Italian family establishment brought course after course of antipasti and primi to the point my wife and I were both bulging and begging for mercy. I was especially fond of the little artichoke and prociutto apetizers. We never made it to the secundi but the atmosphere and the wine--2 bottles--and the food were outstanding. In the end, the management brough on the a complementary Lemoncello and brought down my house!! Bravo!!
