Description: Hotel dell'Arte has been made out (2006) by restoring an
evocative Art Deco villa, in a quiet island in the centre of Milan,
near the Milan City Fair location. It is a seat of remarkable showrooms and exhibitions: paintings, sculpture, photography, well highlighted by the specialized press. It is rounded by the most impressive places of history and art: the Archaeological Museum of Corso Magenta, Leonardo’s Last Supper, Sforza Castle, and several other exhibitions as the Science and Technology Museum.
Ten minutes are enough for getting Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, or Museo Poldi-Pezzoli. At Porta Venezia you can find the neoclassic and revived Villa Belgiojoso-Bonaparte with Museo dell’Ottocento (italian paintings) and its romantic landscape british garden, and the PAC (or CAP: Contemporary Art Pavillion).
In the neighbourhood of the Hotel: nice streets for shopping, restaurants, the National Theatre and all the pubs which give to Milan a preminent position in night-life.
Not much far from the Hotel: San Siro football stadium and the Fair. A booking service is available for Teatro alla Scala and the most important city events, including sport.
It is very close to the Milan City Fair and the "De Angeli" stop of the subway (Line 1/red) witch is possibile to join the city centre and Piazza Duomo in a very few minutes. The new Milan Fair seat in Rho/Pero is reachable always by the Line 1 of the subway, from the second one near stop "Amendola Fiera". In the surroundings the Cenacolo of Leonardo da Vinci end many other turistic points of interest. With regard to shopping and restaurantsthe nearest streets are full of restaurants, coffe shops, pub and shops.
How to get Hotel dell'Arte From Milan Linate airport: take the bus No.73 till to its terminus, piazza San Babila: therefrom the underground (red line), Bisceglie direction, till to the stop "De Angeli". To walk for 100 meters along via Faruffini: the Hotel is on your left.
From Milan Malpensa airport: catch the shuttle Malpensa Express till to its terminus, Cadorna Station: therefrom the underground (red line), Bisceglie direction till to the stop "De Angeli". To walk for 100 meters along via Faruffini: the Hotel is on your left.
From Milan/Bergamo Orio al Serio airport: take the shuttle to Milan till to the Central Railway station and therefrom go on as explained below.
From the Central Railway station: take the Underground (yellow line) following "San Donato" direction till to the stop "Duomo" where you will change to the red line. Following the "Bisceglie" direction you will get the stop "De Angeli". To walk for 100 meters along via Faruffini: the Hotel is on your left.
From the highways: coming from North, take the “tangenziale Ovest” and go out at MILANO CERTOSA, to pass over the Ghisallo flyover till to the exit of Piazzale Lotto. To go out in via Alcide de Gasperi and turn on the right in via Renato Serra. To follow straight, crossing piazza Stuparich, piazzale Lotto e piazzale Zavattari. At the roundabout of piazzale Brescia to take the fifth street on your left, Via Faruffini. The Hotel is on your right at No. 25.
Coming from South, to take tangenziale Ovest till to the exit 4, FIERA MILANO CITY; next: via Bezzi (outside ring-road), where you’ll turn on the left. To take via Previati (7.th side-road), therefrom you will get via Faruffini: the Hotel is on your right at No. 25.
