If there was a rating worse than terrible this hotel would fit into this category. 1. Arrived at hotel after booking months in advance with confirmation during Werchter Festival week-end for 3 nights. The hotel was overbooked (deliberately) and Serge the manager told us to find another hotel. After arguing he found us accomodation miles away and at double the cost. Said they would pay the difference if we presented them with the reciept on return the next day. We were annoyed but could live with this especially as they has said this to 3 other couples in front of us who were also overbooked. 2. Arrived back at the hotel the next day (Sunday). Hotel was closed. Waited 2 hours ringing door bells and phoning with no answer. Could not believe this. Sadly there were other people also outside the hotel waiting in the rain wanting to drop bags off to go to the festival and couldn't get in either. In the end we went back to our previous nights hotel. 3. Went back the next day, and the hotel refused to pay the difference in cost. Disgusting people and i would recommend you never stay here or even recommend your worst enemy to stay here.

I had a bad feeling about this hotel even before I came, and I should have trusted my gut instinct! I'm a very patient person, but this stay made me want to write the first ever negative review in my life! On arrival to the hotel, I was first unpleasantly surprised by where my room was located - on the first floor just above the stinking of cigarette smoke bar that served as a breakfast hall in the morning. My suspicion proved true - every week night I had to suffer as a passive smoker, as the smoke would lift into the room. The room itself was tiny - barely 10 m^2 and generally worn out, with the bed located just in front of the small bathroom block. Well, I thought to myself: "It's worth then I expected but fairly tolerable..." Little did I know... A thin door with no sound insulation ensured I could hear every step and voice outside my room. Due to an unexplainable phenomenon, there was water on the bathroom floor that soaked the toilet mat. Adding to that, once I woke up in the morning and tried to switch on the light, the light fuse has gone off so that I had to get dressed and go to the bathroom in the darkness. Instead of apologies, I was said that blowing the fuse was my fault... Finally, contrary to normal, I had a really poor sleep during the night - I even had the feeling that the room was haunted, even though I don't believe in ghosts. All this made me want to leave this hotel ASAP, but when I told the manager that I want to leave the next morning I was told that he was losing business and that he had to charge me the extra night. Well, I won't be surprised if he will be out of business altogether very soon... Unless you would like to spoil your experience of Leuven a bit, do not stay in this hotel, at least until it gets renovated and gets a better management. Apart from this hotel, I had a wonderful experience of beautiful Leuven...
