Getting there. From Split-Kastela Airport a shuttle bus runs to Split and Split harbour, a distance of 25 kilometres. Taxis are also available outside the airport. A high-speed ferry operates between Split harbour and Hvar city. The journey takes one hour. The conventional ferry between Split and Hvar takes two hours. Speedboat transfers are also available.
Getting around. The best way to explore Hvar town is by foot, as cars are not permitted in the town centre. Booking one of the many boat trips is a recommended way to explore the island.
