Blue Bay is a wonderful hotel. The rooms could be more confortable. The bathroom should be more spacious and with additional material(jaccuzi, ...)

I just returned from my honeymoon at the Blue Bay Getaway in Puerto Plata. Overall my husband and I had a great time. The hotel is a good value for the money. The beds were very uncomfortable and the food got boring after several days, but overall we had a great time.

I truly enjoyed my stay at blue bay. The resort has a village setting to it with a one-minute walk over a bridge to the beach. The pools were very nice with romantic beds surrounding the pools and also on the beach. The food was always very delicious with good variety. The resort had a full time activities team that kept the people always entertained. The nightly shows were not the best but still fun to watch and some were better then others. The rooms were always clean and nice; however they were not very luxurious. One word of caution is this is an adult's only resort, do not bring children. If you have kids or teenagers, you would be better off going to a different resort. Overall I thought the resort was a 4 star, and the rooms I would say are a 3 star. I was very pleased with the resort and would recommend.

We upgraded to the BE+ service direct with the hotel they made us feel very special but even if we hadnt upgraded the facilites would still have been excellent and staff could not do more to ensure we had the best stay. Excellent quality and superb value

My boyfriend and I went & enjoyed ourselves. The overall appearance of the hotel was beautiful. It's a great place to go and relax. I thought the food was good, but he didn't. There is more of a European selection. The staff were all very friendly, they were there tend to your every need. The Anamcion team tries extremely hard to ensure you have a good time. Just a heads up, it is wise to tip some of the people that you will be seeing frequently, ex: pool bartender, waiter. Don't buy anything in the plaza, just go into town and make a day of it. I recommend this resort and we'll be back.

A wonderful romantic vacation gets way which is suitable for honeymooners or people in need of a little TLC. The nightly entertainment fantastic, the food first class and the staff polite and courteous.

I liked the hotel in general, the staff were very kind, the services were good, the beach great. The only issue for what I complain is the "a la carte" restaurants. They show you in the webpage, that they have several restaurants so you think you can decide freely if you want to eat italian, japanese or grill food (or something). But when you arrive, first only some of the restaurants are open depending the day. Second, you have to make a reservation, and always the restaurant you want is "full", but if you luckily went to one of them, you realize there are very few people and a lot of free tables!... the thing is they don't want to offer their restaurants, and they force you to choose the buffet, that one day is ok, but all nights is boring!

The hotel is everything positive you read on some websites. The food is typical all inclusive-a little better then some but not great. The people working do their best to make you happy and comfortable. We had a great time-it is quiet-but as much fun as you want it to be. The beach is ok-not what you expect of the Caribbean but its ok. The pools are clean. We are looking forward to return. The only problem is there is not alot to do. Not many day time games and evenings are very quiet.

The hotel told me this is a all-inclusive hotel. Asked me to pay a higher price, than I was offered on the internet. But I´m an eager person and just paid the price that was confirmed over Internet. The stay was good and the staff were nice,so I returned ten days later for a three days stay. Food was fresh.

-extremely poor customer service-animation staff was annoying and verbally abusive-food was very bad, had food poisoning while there-spa service was poor, did not receive service I paid for-rooms were adequate

The hotel has recently been renovated and is very nice. The reception area is beautiful. The staff was friendly, the food was good, the rooms were big and clean, the pools/beach was nice but alot of seaweed...but that's to be expected I guess. The only thing I was not impressed with was the entertainment. They try really hard but....most of the games/nightly shows have a sexual nature and I expected something different. Having gone to other hotels in Puerto Plata the entertainment here was bad.
