Rooms are as described, Modern, Clean,Bathrooms are super nice, but with some sewer lines problems (slow drains). Super nice place to stay if you hate antiquated room surroundings like the rest of the hotels in Rome("no Padding on the walls gathering dust for you to breath). Great place to stay if you don't mind walking to and from restaurants and sites. ( Great for loosing some pound after a big dinner). One thing and I hope they read it at the BW Universo: all of your Concierge staff is Nasty to their guest in all possible ways.

they should have a safety box and a mini refrigerator in each room overall, they were friendly, they call for a taxi to take us to airport, who was very nice with a reasonable price

Lovely room, great location for sights and transport links, friendly staff. Only disappointment was breakfast, but otherwise great and would definitely go back.

On average the hotel is good. Pictures shown, however, have nothing to do with reality as rooms are not somodern and new as it seems.

A good modern hotel well situated for exploring Rome. Staff generally good but some don't really bother to go beyond the minimum. Breakfast is great and I would recommend overall.

This is the second time I have stayed in Universo in the past year. Great holiday, friendly service - especially from Mario, and great location. Everything within walking distance and for those not so keen on walking , its very close to Termini

9. From: Diane Garrick, United Kingdom
 Date of Stay: August, 2007
Enjoyed our stay here - although we were in a corner room, (two busy roads, one each side) and therefore it was quite noisy. Helpful staff. Breakfast menu was perhaps aiming to give a wide choice, I would perhaps have preferred quality...such as good fruit juice...and perhaps a less slick service as my breakfast disappeared when I went to get coffee!

10. From: Tomasz Kowalski, Poland
 Date of Stay: August, 2007
We stayed in a superior twin room for 3 nights. The location was very good - just a few minutes walk from Termini Station and the staff were all very friendly. The breakfast Buffet is good too. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have a pleasant stay in central Rome.

11. From: Audrey Welsby, Australia
 Date of Stay: August, 2007
Overall the Hotel was good and in a very central position, close to most of the major sights. The Hot and Cold Buffet Breakfast was excellent and set you up for the day. The facilities at the Hotel such as Tea and Coffee makers in your room had to be asked for but should have been available on arrival. The Reception staff were very helpful, and the Hotel was quiet in the evenings, which enabled you to get a good nights sleep. Would stay there again when next in Rome.

Very handy to the Railway Station, quite a small room but ok for a few nights stay. would stay again

13. From: Ona Cooper, Australia
 Date of Stay: July, 2007
Great location, less than ten minutes walk from the railway station so ideal if travelling by train. We had a large, comfortable modern room and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and there were many local cafes nearby to choose from for evening meals. We would certainly stay here again.

An excellent clean and modern room with a good breakfast and great location, very near the Roma Terminale. Lots of local restaurants within the vicinity of the hotel.

15. From: Robert Watts, Australia
 Date of Stay: July, 2007
It was with some trepidation that our group, who booked 4 rooms, turned up at this hotel. Previous reviews were either scathing or very supportive, so I did not know what to expect. We found that the rooms had been recently renovated and all had good facilities in perfect working order. The staff were courteous and very helpful and most spoke good English. The location is superb, close to all the famous locations, and within walking distance of the main train station. All in all we were more than happy with our stay.

16. From: Raffaela Pisano, Australia

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Rome yet. Everything was great and the air conditioning actually worked. Will be staying there again for sure

17. From: Elaine Davidson, United Kingdom
 Date of Stay: June, 2007
Location good. Breakfast very good. Took 4 requests before they fixed air conditioning. Advertised with tea making facilities but you have to ask for them when you get there. This was not possible as we arrived late. Would stay again

18. From: George Drew, Sandra Drew Drew
 Date of Stay: June, 2007
We had a short break at this hotel, and we was very happy with everything about it. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and very clean (although we did have a superior room which may have been a little larger). There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and the location was excellent. If we return to Rome, we shall certainly consider this hotel again.

Very nice hotel with a helpful staff. Convenient location.

Location is good if commuting by subway in Rome. Location is excellent if travelling onwards by train to other destinations. (genuine 6 minute walk to the station). For a short stay, we found the room and facilities to be fine.
