Good value, close to airport and easy to find. Small, very clean double room with all amenties one requires. Customer service you feel the staff are proud of and quite rightly. Lovely and quaint little details - would recommend to anyone.

Good quality hotel with easy access via bus to city center, and only a short taxi ride to/from airport. Shutters help block traffic noise so is it fairly quiet. Nearby Trattoria Zita offers excellent food, we had one of best meals of our trip there. Hotel had nice cocktail buffet in evenings, and good breakfast. You can buy bus tickets at hotel, including tourist "hop on/hop off" bus and local bus. We would stay here again.

We stayed in five hotels during our trip and this was the most disapointing. Room was smaller than other, not real clean, out dated and noisey. We had booked two nights and asked if we could check out early without a penalty. Day desk girl said OK, not problem. When we check out they said we would have to pay a 1/2 room charge for check out early. His was resolved without a penalty.

Helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable staff, all spoke English, sold us bus tickets to the center of town when needed, offered suggestions of good restaurants close to hotel, offered gifts of cookbook and cookies upon departure and maps when needed, plus free computer usage to check email.

This hotel was very easy to find from the motorway for drivers. We walked into the centre of Bologna in about 1/2 hour and took an easy taxi back after dinner. Rooms were large and clean. Buffet breakfast was fine. Overall a good value hotel for one or two nights.

The front desk agent was very helpful in directing to the town center-you could bus, but we found that hot and crowded. A taxi fare of 8euro was much more convenient. Since we had a car it mattered to us about the onsite parking. The room and bathroom were comfortable and the breakfast was very good

I stayed at Hotel Best Western Maggiore in early April. The hotel is a very nice real 3-star hotel on the outskirts of Bologna center. I had a three person room comprised of two single beds and a sofa bed. The room had two wardrobe closets, a flat screen TV, a large bathroom, and a minibar refrigerater. The room was very clean. The beds we had were hard mattresses for those that like this style (I do). Breakfast was buffet style and offered eggs, bacon, sliced ham, meats, cheese, cereals, fruits, and breads and rolls. All three front desk personnel I dealt with during the weekend were friendly, readily answered my questions, and basically made my stay enjoyable. The hotel is off the main road but easy to find as there is a large sign with an arrow for Hotel Maggiore. When you arrive at the airport, take the BLQ Aerobus (5 euros per person) and exit at the Ospedale (hospital) Maggiore stop, which is the first stop on the Aerobus line. The stop is about 500 yards past the hotel. The other option is to take an airport taxi but I don't know the cost of the trip (between 10 and 20 minutes depending on traffic). I would not walk as there are spots between the airport and the hotel without sidewalks. There are about four eating establishments within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel does not serve dinners. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the Bologna train station which you can access from buses 91 or 39. The bus stop for 91 is left of the hotel (along the main road) about 200 yards (stop Prati di Caprara) and the buses begin running at 0549. The bus stop for 39 is about 700 yards (stop Saffi) to the right of the hotel (along the main road) and the buses begin running at 0524. Returning to the hotel from the main train station take either bus 38 or 91. You can purchase bus tickets (1 euro per ticket) from the front desk of the hotel or the tobbaco shop across from bus stop Prati di Caprara before 8pm. Validate the tickets when you board the bus. The hotel was exactly as described, the staff were efficient and helpful. The hotel was easy to find and adequate parking. The accommodation was comfortable and in a good position for the short walk to city centre. I would stay there again

Gioiellino discreto, discosto dal centro ma ottimamente servito dalle linee urbane di trasporto. Classica colazione europea molto ricca, servizio cordiale e pulizia ne fanno un luogo raccomandabile anche a famiglie.

The staff at first was a little unfriendly at first when we checked in, but later at all times were more courteous and friendly. Very nice rooms, clean, super breakfast. Will come again.

My only comment would be better directions from the A1 Autostrada, as it mentions that the hotel is next to the hospital. We spent a good 25 minutes trying to find the hotel. Once we foudn the hotel everything was very good. The service, rooms and staff.
