We had a nice large room, more a junior suite, but no view. I suspect views are few as the building(s) are surrounded on all sides. The location is perfect, 50 metres from the Opera.

I stayed in 2 different rooms. The first was fine. The second was on a hot day. There was no air conditioning due to the time of year, and since I had to open the windows, it was very noisy. The venere price was 1/3 of the price quoted in the room. The venere price was a fair value. The quoted price would have been exorbitant. The breakfast was very good, the staff very helpful, the hotel very clean and other than the heat, very comfortable.

We was not aware until we got there that the hotel was split into two. The location is unbeatable and would recommend that you do not take a car as most is pedestrianised. Also for the hotel we stayed in - you had to ring buzzer to get in after 11pm - its quite a feat speaking french after a few glasses! All in all I would give an 8 out of 10 - based more on location. bathrooms are spacious.

Keep in mind that now there is pedestrian area all around the hotel instead of roads so as you cannot reach it by own car or taxi.

good location, near to tourist information office, tram , shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Room is small but neat and has hotel feel.

The location of the hotel was very central and close to all restaurants/shops. Although some of the restaurants were not very accomodating when it came to our child who was 23 months old.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the "golden triangle" the best part of Bordeaux town. Perfect access to all the tram lines, the shopping street, water, information centre and the theatre. Safe part of town. Clean and nice. Excellent choice.

This hotel is in the centre of a beautiful city, close to shops, night life, restaurants and other local attractions. Bordeaux is very pedestrian friendly, hence the taxi from the station took some time to get to the hotel. If you can use the tram from the station it is much easier and cheaper - a short walk will be necessary to the hotel. The hotel is being extended to the adjacent building with major building works underway. However, no noise or other inconvienience was caused. The staff were helpful and always available. We would strongly recommend this city and hotel to anyone.

We stayed in the hotel annexe. The street outside was a little scruffy due to major rennovations to the building opposite, but the double glazing kept out any noise and the room was peaceful. The bathroom was enourmous, the bed wasn't particularly comforable, the air conditioning excellent and the breakfast was no better than OK. Boreaux was great. The weather was warm whilst we were there, and the street cafes and restaurants were doing great business well into the evening, even on a Monday. We took one of the tourist office tours, a full day visit to St Emillion. Great value for 80 euro - visited two Chateau (with tastings at both) + lunch at the second chateau, guided tour of the underground church in St Emillion, free time in the village and an excellent tour guide.

This hotel is the right place to start to walk anywhere. Bordeaux is going through a major rennovation which is starting to make this a really nice place to be. Bordeaux is not a cheap place but if these room prices don't upset you you should be fine. One tip: don't expect your taxi to pick you up on time to take you to the airport!!

Although the staff were very helpful and knowledgable this did not compensate for the very small (prestige) room. We could not both walk about at the same time! The bathroom was of a good size and well equipped and the hotel location was excellent.

The Tulip Inn has an amazing staff! They are very patient with English speaking guests. We arrived in Bordeaux on Friday evening and the hotel was very accomodating and even booked us reservations at Cheng Sens - to date one of the most impressive meals I have ever had. I highly recommend the Tulip Inn, we even extended our stay there rather than moving to another hotel in St. Emillion.
