Very pleasant hotel and very helpful staff. A good location within walking distance of the Castello, and therefore the city centre. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We were disappointed with the breakfast - there was hardly anything that we could bring ourselves to eat :( We walked down the Cafe' Floridian (opens a little late in teh day around 1130 or so) and they had amazing paninis ham and mozzarella (cold but very fresh and delicious). The good thing about teh hotel was free internet!

Excellent room. Free internet point in the lobby. Easy to reach the center of town and La Scala by tram. Just a short stroll to Maria delle Grazie with Lenardos Last Supper ( don´t forget to book time weeks in advance!)

A very nice hotel in a residential neighborhood (at least it seemed that way to me because the previous hotel I stayed in was so close to the Duomo). Unfortunately, I was there because I had an early flight out of Malpensa the next day...so I didn't get to enjoy the place as much as I would've liked. My friend though, slept in, relaxed and had, he said, a lovely breakfast. Also, a good restaurant within walking distance: Cecco (I think that was the name.)

Location didn't appear inviting as we arrived on Sunday (everything was closed up) and there was graffiti everywhere. Since the car we drove was a bit large (an Espace), they couldn't accomodate us in their garage so I had to park 3 blocks away in a garage almost twice the price.

We arrived to a constantly running toilet that needed several reminders to be fixed. the floors were parquetry that had been exposed to water so every footstep was noisy - I pity the people below us! The rooms were shabby and very disappointing, although the location wasn't too bad

All of my families luggage was lost for the three days that we stayed in Milan, however the employees at the Hotel Ariosto did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The managers were very helpful in giving us suggestions for shopping and were helpful with interpreting and navigating websites as we searched for our lost bags. We really appreciated the wonderful and plentiful continental breakfast served each morning. Of our two weeks in Italy the Hotel Ariosto's breakfasts were the best.

The receptionists were a little curt, especially the evening but they did follow through on what was needed. The morning staff arranged to have the breakfast opened at 6:45 for us because we had to leave before 7.The head waiter in the breakfast room would not allow"his" chairs to be moved to allow a family of 5 to sit together.

My competence rating is for this: My husband and I ate dinner at the hotel. I got my dinner as ordered. My husband got only one third of what he ordered. The waiter was poor and did not seem to know what he was doing. The staff at the restaurant was hardly apologetic.

This 3 star hotel is in a nice neighborhood and is a good bargain. If you're just spending one night in Milan after flying in to Italy, you really don't need a fancy room and might as well save some money and get a good night's sleep. The desk clerk was not as welcoming as staff at other hotels we stayed at, although he did help me look up some phone numbers to track our lost luggage and did provide a good restaurant recommendation. While the hotel had its own restaurant, it did not appear to be open on the night we stayed there (Sunday).

Although I booked our reservation and received a confirmation, when we arrived we were told they no longer had our room but they booked us a room at another hotel which was comparable to this one. We were very disappointed with the new hotel and the location. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The main reason why we stayed here was to catch the Malpensa Express train to the airport at Cadorna station. It was only a five minute cab ride away, and very convenient. While there is not too much around the hotel, it is a ~10 euro cab ride to the Duomo area where there are a lot of restaurants and activities.
