The location and price were amazing. It was only 5 minutes by car to the old city, 5 minutes to Montmorency Falls, 30 minutes to St. Anne de Beaupre, and 10 minutes to L'ile d'Orleans. I could not have hoped for a better location. The choices in restaurants were good. We ate at Chez Cora's for both mornings and had St. Hubert's on another night. The facilities were clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend and would choose this place on another visit to Quebec City.

Arriving at the hotel and seeing a freight train passing behind the building created some doubts about the kind of accommodation to expect. From the moment we entered our room all doubts were dispelled. The room exceeded all expectations for what we had paid. The spacious room had double doors that opened up to a jacuzzi bath and well-equipped bathroom. The room itself was very clean and spacious, with a small passage way containing a counter with sink, fridge below, coffee maker and space to sit, drink coffee, eat or use one's computer. The king size bed was emperor size and the flat-screen TV was enormous. The ac unit had a thermostat in the room. The pool area was even more impressive with a tropical theme (plants, caged birds, etc), room balconies overlooking the pool and, for those whose rooms did not overlook the pool, a large balcony to sit and read or relax overlooking the pool. Added to this was a whirlpool and an umbrella type spray area for children to run under and get sprayed with water. There was also a nice, spacious sitting area around the pool. The fitness room met all our needs including a sauna in both the male and female changing rooms. Needless to say, towels were provided in both pool and fitness room. Although we were not as close to the waterfront as anticipated, we had free parking and drove into Quebec City in just a few minutes. By the way, we never saw or heard the train again during our three night stay.

Good value for money, close to Quebec city. Hotel has business with travel agencies, so the staffs in front desk were very busy. It's difficult to get them to answer questions.

the check in time was ok and the room clean enouhg but the odor of smoke was really heavy and the hotel attendants did not solve that problem. it looks to me that the room was expensive for all the offers

The room was big and had a long shelf on the side for suitcase you do not have to bend to get your stuff from the suitcase on the floor. It is a short drive to the old city and shopping.

The size of the room was excellent for the money and the hotel location was just minutes from downtown Quebec. I would absolutely stay here again if travelling to Quebec.

The Ambassador was easy to locate from the off ramp and the front desk handled check in with speed and perfection. Our room was more than we could hope for and everything was a great surprise. Included a wonderful view of Old Quebec, a huge King Sized bed, Sofa and a Jacuzzi Tub. The location was perfect also with a short trip to the falls, Old Quebec and even Orleans Island. If we ever needed anything we forgot the hotel either provided for us, or if we wanted something from town they would give directions. All in all, I would say the Ambassador is now my favorite hotel chain. I have already recommended this to friends and they seem very excited about the price and the quality. The *Only* downside of the experience is that this particular Ambassador is being remodeled so the pool and spa is not done yet, but from the looks of things it will be amazing and completed in April. There simply is not enough stars to fill out a proper rating for this hotel.
