If you are looking for a totally unique, personalized, customer service oriented experience, Letizia Mattiacci is your ideal hostess. Letizia offers her guests an insider's look at Umbrian cuisine, cooking, culture, and the most worthwhile sites to visit. Letizia offers her expertise and knowledge of Italy which frankly, was priceless to us during our stay. We have never experienced this level of customer service at any establishment we have ever stayed at. For example, she personally drove us to a local restaurant, interpreted for us during ordering, and arranged for the chef of the establishment to drive us home! Also, I highly recommend the cooking classes at Alla Madonna Del Pietto. Letizia is very fun, but always professional and informative in the class. The meal and total experience with her at her establishment was one we will never forget.

Wonderful B & B. Great location overlooking Assisi. A bit of a challenge to find at first but well worth the effort. Great cooking class. Terrific hosts. Very attentive and accomodating. We'll stay there again on our next trip to Umbria.

What a beautiful location, in the hills of Assisi overlooking the town. I still dream of us sitting on the patio, watching the sheep being herded and the town of Assisi. Also we were there during the full moon, what could be better. Letizia and her husband are wonderful hosts, you couldn't ask for better people. Wonderful communication from Letizia, prior to our stay, so felt like family when we arrived. So very helpful and wonderful directions. Last but not least, the cooking class. Great time was had by all, there were 4 of us. Will never eat packaged pasta again, homemade pasta from now on. Thanks Letizia

Umbria at its best! Wonderful B&B! The hosts made us feel right at home. Alla Madonna Del Piatto sits atop a hill in the beautiful Umbrian hills just outside of Assisi. It fact, we could see the Basilica di San Francisco from our window. We loved everything about this place and only regret that we could stay a week. Our hostess, Leticia, offers cooking classes, but unfortunately I could not convince my traveling companions to participate. Other guests, who did, spoke very highly of the experience. This is a remote location, so you will need car to get there. But it's worth the trip.

Stunning location wonderful hosts. A real gem of a place to stay. Great to relax after busy sight seeing. The cookery course was excellent and made for a fantastic day. The hosts are full of local knowledge on the best places to go to and eat at. We would highly recommend this place as a great base to visit Umbria.

This bed and breakfast was our absolute favorite in the 3 weeks we spent travelling in Italy. The view of Assissi and the countryside is breathtaking. The peaceful, quiet surroundings are a wonderful respite from the hectic pace of touring. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Letizia, the owner, is a jewel. She goes beyond what would be expected to make guests welcome and comfortable. She referred us to local restaurants that were very good and not on the tourist route. I loved this place.

This is a wonderful place with wonderful hosts for a relaxing stay in Umbria. The location is central and allwos easy access to all the surrounding cities and sites. The owners provide excellent travel advice, maps and anything else you need to make your stay enjoyable. I would happily return.

It was a very enjoyable stay with a room with an excellent view. (they all have excellent views) The quiet nights stargazing on the terrace were very enjoyable. However, the last section of road leading to the agri needs to be paved. It was a painful experience driving over rocks and potholes.

letizia, the owner, is extremely helpful and hardworking, speaks english completely. Only problem is that the site is a good 10 minutes outside Assisi on a very rough dirt road. The view is lovely.

After enjoying the sincere hospitality of our hosts, the comfort of the place they have created, and the beauty and serenity of its surroundings, I'm sure we'll be their guests many times again. It was The Best of all the places we stayed in Italy.

This is a beautiful, beautiful place and our hostess, Letizia, was kind and very helpful. I took her cooking course which was great fun and a wonderful learning experience. Directions are a bit hard to follow but I would highly recommend this agriturismo to anyone traveling to Umbria. It was one of the highlights of my trip!

Located on a hill oposite to Assisi this b+b is perfect for everybody who wants to get out of the city and into the green. It can only be reached by car but the silence is worth the way. Very friendly welcome and all necessary information was freely given to us.

This was the highlight of our 22 day trip. The location was breathtaking. [You do need a car to get there.] The rooms were very clean and tastfully decorated. The breakfast was tasty offering coffee, juices, cereals, yogurt, toasts, etc. The public aeras were warm and inviting. We had tea and coffee on the patio outside, upon arrival, and watched the sun setting from our perch above the town of Assisi. The beautiful surrounding country side was peaceful, quite and a welcomed change from our hectic times in the Naples area. As if this wasn't enough, the owner and our hostess, Letizia Mattiacci, was the icing on the cake. Her bubbly personality and the expressive manner in which she brought life into every conversation, brought a smile to our hearts. Letizia teaches cooking classes in addition to running a first clss B&B. We were fortunate to have her prepare a meal for us, at our request, the night before we left. [I would not have know that was possible except for the comments of a previous traveller who mentioned it in her comments on the venere.com site.] Letizia was very helful in helping us secure our passports from the previous hotel at which we stayed. She directly intervened on our behalf and arranged for them to be sent by courrier to our next location. She provided good suggestions on places to eat (although her meal was the best we had in the area), cities to visit and attractions to see. Letizia is the most unforgetable person I met in Italy and the first one that I will think about when anyone mentions Italy.

Beautiful place in a setting that was even more spectacular (and peaceful) than web photos indicated. Host was extraordinarily helpful in suggesting areas to visit and local restaurants, and her advice was absolutely right. She clearly loves what she does, and loves Italy (and who wouldn't?).
