| Booked a deluxe family room, where was the deluxe, the bunks and double bed made to fit into a single room, no sleep as too noisy. In need of an update. On our return to the hotel we found out our deluxe family room had been degraded to a two bunk room and no explanation as to why just blamed us, would not stop there again. very dodgey
and ordered a taxi it never showed up within the hour so we had walk and find our own taxi. not good. |

Excellant location. Older hotel in need of remodeling. Lots of street noise, most likely due to the old windows. Hotel staff excellant. J..., who helped us with check in/out was so helpful. Nice that we could store our bags after check-out for our flight that evening.

4 minute walk from train station. Opposite Paddys Market. 3 minute walk into Sydney central. Great position. Lift ony goes to 2nd floor so had to carry bags upstairs to third floor. Not a new building but clean and tidy.

I booked a delux family room with HK * but looked like no more than a single room with additional bunked beds. No spare spaces for activities for our children at all. The toilet was smelly and the floor, walls or even the beddings were dirty. Black spots were on white beddings everywhere. We needed to cover the pillows with our clothes in order to sleep. A very disappointed experience and ruined our whole Australia holidays. When we left the hotel, the taxi booked by the hotel charged us AUS * to the international airport while the day before we just paid AUS * from airport to the hotel. I wonder what was the deal between this hotel with the taxi company and obviously we were the victim of these special relationship. I swear I would not go to this hotel again.

Room * was obviously a single room with a double bed shoved into it. Booked for four nights, walked out after one. Room 133 booked for our daughter and her son, requested two twin beds, were supplied with a double bed. Not happy Jan

For the amount we paid for a large room. We really got our moneys worth. When we come to Sydney we always stay at Aarons. No other hotel has a room for 6. Staff could have been a little more helpful, rooms clean, and good location.

I stayed in lots of Hotels around the world, this is the worsest Hotel I ever stayed. A lot of money for a terrible Hotel, it is like a Backpackerstyle. Filthy old and not worse a cent

Excellent location with everything sydney has to offer close by. Room is small and the building is very old, you can smell "rotten timber" the moment you walk in, although you do get used to it after a while. Bottom line: this is a hotel you want to choose if you want to be close to everything but do not have a big budget.

Hotel was ideally located in the City. Only 10 min walk from Darling Harbour and plenty eateries nearby. Room was a bit tight for moving around. Wardrobe couldn't open fully as bed was in front of it!! Apart from that it was a fairly good hotel!

Do not agree of their 3* status, more as a Budget Hotel. Nothing is good except the location

This hotel is in an excellent location next to China Town and within easy walking distance of Central Train Station. The hotel looks old from the outside but is in reasonable condition , although a bit quirky on the inside. We were given a room next to the lift, which is slow and creeks a lot, but were given another room immediately when I asked for a change.

For $10 or $20 more, if not the same price, you can get a much cleaner room, with better furnishing and service right across the street. It's worth it!

Very convenient location in the centre of Sydney : easy walk to Darling Harbour and Chinatown around the corner. Rooms need to be refurnished. But considering the location and pricing, we would certainly stay here again

The hotel is located in the Haymarket and is half way between 2 train stations (Central and Town Hall) so expect a bit of a walk. Apart from that it is in a good location and about 30 minutes walk from the Harbour (Sydney Bridge and Opera House).
