The host was excellent. Very helpful in showing us what we needed on the maps. I was hoping for a hot breakfast but am used to American breakfast. Host was always available to answer questions. We did have a hard time finding the location.

Very good accomodation and host is warm and inviting as well as very helpful. Breakfast need to be more substantial and should include offerings of cereals, milk, fruits and choice of yogurts and last but not the least Italian cheese!

The owner of A Roma Massimo Zoli has basic but functional English. The Vatican Museum is about a 5 minute walk and St Peters about 10 minutes. it is a nice middle class residential area. Massimo is a most gracious and and welcoming host and does everything he can to make your visit as enjoyable as possible- for example the first day i was there i didn't get up till after noon and breakfast was waiting for me. I hate to recommend this place because i want to be sure there is a room for me when i return to Rome

Nothing mentioned that you could only pay Massimo in cash not Debit or Credit card. A very helpful host, nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional access to Rome center even on foot. Much information given as to best restaurants, how to avoid queues best times to visit sites.

Absolut empfehlenswert.

Good service makes all the difference between a good experience and a bad experience. Massimo Zoli was our host, and was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Massimo, and as long as you let him know what you need, he'll organise it for you. He organised early breakfasts for us, gluten-free & lactose-free food for my wife, taxis to the airport at short notice, he even made us a quick snack when we came back late and didn't have the energy to go out for dinner. If you're unsure what to see, he'll show you all the common tourist sites, how to get there, and the best way to organise them into different day-trips. The location is great: close to the Metro, and very near the Vatican. The B&B is not immediately obvious--keep the address with you, because there are no signs on the outside! The hallway and the common area/breakfast area are small and cramped, but the bedrooms are spacious. Finally, for gluten-free people, there's a great Italian restaurant around the corner--La Fiorentina (on Via Doria).

We enjoyed the staying very much. The manager was very helpful, he gave us some good touring advices and even called for us to museums. He also let me use his internet. The location is also good. Nor far (3 min walking) from the subway and from the Vatikan.

Massimo Foli is a wonderful host. Just after arriving, he sat down in the dining room with me and a map of Rome and oriented me to the city. Every day he provided more information and explanations of how to get where we wanted to go. His suggestions and help were invaluable. We were able to use his computer for internet access and to e-mail home. Getting to know him was a highlight of the trip! The location of the A Roma in a quiet neighborhood near transportation and the kindness he showed made us feel like we were not so much tourists, as guests in his home. I highly recommend the A Roma and have told others already.

My stay here was excellent. Massimo is so sweet and helpful. He booked my airport shuttle and reservation to the Borghese Gallery. I would definitely recommend this experience. I met many wonderful travelers at breakfast in his home. When tired, I grabbed some food from a local restaurant and ate at his home. I stayed for 5 days, went to Florence and Venice, then returned to Massimo's for 2 more nights. He provides hairdryers and everything you'd get in a hotel. I really enjoyed staying here.

I stayed in a single room at A Roma which was very clean, comfortable and roomy enough for one person. The single room has an ensuite bathroom which was spotless and the shower was great - hot water and plenty of water pressure. Breakfast was always a pleasure with great food and the company of other travellers. Massimo was the ultimate host, always helpful and very happy to provide all manner of tips on what to see and do, and when to do it, while in Rome. The area around the property is clean, quiet and very safe. The property is very close to the Vatican but is not a touristy area so there are great restaurants all around which serve great food at great prices. Two metro train stations within 5 minutes walk. A good choice for single travellers and couples. I will definitely stay at A Roma on my next visit to Rome.

Quiet location, walking distance from Vatican. There is a local market nearby. Our room was very spacious. The bathroom is clean and has a tub, not shower, which is really good surprise. Signor Massimo is welcoming and great host. Breakfast is the standard European croissant and juice/coffee.

We stayed in Rome 3 days at A Roma, and really liked our stay with Massimo. He is a great host and very helpful with making plans on sightseeing. The rooms are simple but clean and a great value for the money. We had a nice breakfast every morning and enjoyed the company of fellow travelers. The location did have some street noise, but I think most of Rome has that problem. We used the air conditioning at night which helped to muffle the noise.

Massimo saved us from several hours of waiting in lines with just a few basic tips on Rome. He showed us how to get around by bus, and gave us priceless advice on the attractions. He's worth 20 Euro by himself!
