A Casa Di Lia-Home Hotel Rome   [edit info]
Lungotevere Flaminio 48 - Palazzo 3 Scala A Int. 21 (Terzo Palazzo A Sinistra)
Rome, Italy
Description:The Bed and Breakfast A Casa di Lia-Home in Rome is centrally located in Rome in the Flaminio neighborhood, a quiet and safe residential area near the Tiber river, with no traffic noise, surrounded by gardens and charming courtyards. Just steps from the Olympic Stadium, the Foro Italico, the Auditorium Parco della Musica and the Flaminio Stadium, this Rome B&B offers an ideal base for visiting the Eternal City, only a few minutes by public transportation from Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso and the Spanish Steps. The Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia-Home in Rome is housed on the top floor of an early 20th-century building, with elevator, located in the quiet Villa Riccio residential complex. The apartment features a terrace overlooking Rome's skyline, with St. Peter's dome and the pine trees of Villa Borghese park in the distance. After a long day of sightseeing in Rome, guests can enjoy a glass of wine or a good pizza in the nearby wine-bars and restaurants, or maybe meet some celebrities. Guests must like pets: they usually do not enter the area of the apartment reserved to the B&B, separated by a door from the rest of the house, but if guests are allergic to cats' hair or afraid of dogs, this B&B is not the right choice.

Lia helped make our stay in Rome a very memorable visit. Her residence is very centrally located (Have Lia show you the view from the rooftop - it will help orient you to the city), and tram and subway connections are quite convenient. There's a wonderful little neighborhood restaurant just down the street that became our favorite! If ever back in Rome, I would definately stay there again - Thanks Lia, for sharing your home and hospitality with us - Nancy and Richard

We wanted a nice quiet B&B away from the crowds and noise of the centre of Rome and found that and more. The owner, Lia, who spoke perfect English, was very kind and helpful. She went so far as to take us up to the roof terrace to point out the major sights and help us get oriented. Lia had excellent suggestions for getting around, where to eat and what to see. The breakfast is already set up for you so you can get up when you please and help yourself. The location is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, only a 10 minute tram ride to all the major sites. The well priced rooms are clean and bright with very good bathrooms. I strongly recommend this B&B to all who want to see Rome but still like a quiet refuge away from the busy city.

Staying at Casa di Lia was the icing on the cake during our time in Rome. Lia was very welcoming and spent time ensuring we had all the information necessary to make the most of our stay. The accommodation was excellent and being located in a quiet residential area made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Getting to any of the many historic and interesting areas was easy and quick as public transport is cheap, reliable and plentiful. Even walking to many of the most famous sites is an option. We would have no hesitation staying at Casa di Lia again.

I think that this property was great because we wanted somewhere quiet and somewhat close the sights. Lia was very helpful and didn't steer us wrong! Everything was clean and comfy. There are some great pizza places nearby to try! Our only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast available- it seemed as if we were eating left-overs from her household- there was only breadstuffs and coffee-some juice, fruit or fresh muffins would have made a big difference for the price. Overall we were very pleased staying in Rome at Casa di Lia. Thanks again!

Lia was a great help with our uneducated knowledge of Rome. She even helped us get to our rental car location while there was a transit strike by giving us a ride in her personal car.

Lia was a great host and gave us many tips about Rome, what to visit and where we can find nice restaurants for lunch or dinner. The B&B is also located in a nice quiet part of Rome with very good connections by public transport to almost every part of Rome. The bus stop is right out the B&B court, don`t need to walk too much :) If we in Rome again, we`ll be back for shure :)

Lia's B&B was really great place for me and my teenager. It was our first visit to Italy and we felt very safety and homey. A casa di Lia is an exellent place for people who like quiet surroundings. We could easily go sightseeing Rome; first by tram (2) to Piazza del Popolo and then take a metro to Colosseum, Vatican or Spanish steps... Weekly ticket was a big help for that. Thank you Lia, Elena and Bernie for a good care! Greetings to Ulrike! And thanks for the cake, Mario! Rome -we will see you again. And the address will be A Casa di Lia. Marja and Jenni

Lia was very nice and helpful. The bedroom was smaller than we expected, but accomodating. Location was excellent for transportation and quiet night sleep. Good restaurants around. It is simple, small and clean at a good price. It is great for someone that wants a comfortable and clean bed to come back at night and have a good night sleep. We only wish credit cards were accepted for payment.

I would recommend A Casa di Lia to people who do not want to be in the heart of a busy city. This is for people who also enjoy dicovering the neighbourhoods and the local people of the city. We had a wonderful stay. Felt extremely at home and relaxed. Lia is a very capable hostess and there was a lovely homely atmoshphere in her home. We will certainly be back to visit should we be back in Rome. For people who enjoy walking a city, this is a perfectly placed b&b with an efficient public transport to get you started on your walk in the city.

We have recently returned from a lovely stay in Rome. I hadnt used this site before and am very glad to have found it and will use it again. The reviews were accurate in our case. Lia was a lovely person and gave us plenty of good advice for getting around the city. We were quite close to the centre - about 20 mins by tram and we bought a three day pass for 11euros each which gave us unlimited travel. Most of our travel whilst in the city was on foot and we were pleased to have brought comfy shoes. The accommodation was great, just what I hoped for. We were able to come and go without any difficulties and felt safe. One thing - the little restaurant Tiepelo is great and only at the bottom of the street. Dont bother with the Frizziana - Pizza place really bad. Will stay with Lia again when in Rome - if she has vacancies.

Lia was very friendly and speaks excellent English. She took extra time with us during our stay. The room was very nice, and the bathroom was large. We would stay at her place again if/when we return to Rome.
