Our room was clean, the hotel is a quick tramride from the main train station in Munich (a long walk, so catch the tram). One member of staff was really unhelpful and unfriendly, however the remainder of the staff were great. Was pretty expensive to stay here, given we were really just staying in a hostel with our own room, but it served its purpose.

We were very surprised to find such excellent accommodation for such a low price. A&O is part Hotel, part Hostel with separate restaurants for each. We booked a double room in the hotel through Venere.com for only 39 euro! Our room was brand new, new beds, new floors, fresh paint, super clean and extremely spacious. Breakfast was a buffet with different kinds of bread and toast, fruit salads, cheese, salami, boiled eggs, cereal, milk, juices, coffee etc. There was even someone to make you a fresh omelet. The parking is free in the area, but there was nothing when we arrived, so we used the garage for 10 euro. I prefer to leave my bags in the car, so I want to be sure they are still there when I get back. All in all, excellent accommodation in the centre of Munich. I would highly recommend it.

Hi The staff were excellent and both my mother and myself will consider using both the hostel in Munich & their group again. One thing would have made it better would be drinks making facilities in the room. Thank You to all

We were severely ripped off for this property as we booked about 3 days in advance and had to pay 90 euros for a 2nd rate in room in a childrens hostel. There were groups of kids about 100 strong, 13-15 years old running riot in the foyer, it took us ten minutes to get through the foyer to get to our room on one occassion. There is only one lift on either side of the building, big enough to fit two people with two bags. We were on the 6th floor and had to walk up and down everytime we wanted to go out as in the morning if it wasnt filled by screaming teenagers the housekeeping staff would take it over with linen trolleys. It would take half an hour, no exaggeration, to get an empty lift to get downstairs. The hotel is in a very nothing part of Munich, the staff were quite friendly and helpful and they spoke decent english, but otherwise there is nothing good to say about the hotel. Also, the map on Venere.com is not accurate. There are about 6 cross streets streets missing on the map.

Its far enough from town that you'll probably want to rely on taking a tram (a stop is just in front of the hotel) in order to get to the central area. The maps are accurate, but they do not provide a scale, so what I thought was going to be a five minute walk, turned out to be about 20-30 minutes. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were decent.

This is an exelent location for young couples and group of youngs. The rooms are very clean, there are good oportunities for free parking( an advantage in front of central hotels), but is relativly far from principal public transportation in town the S and U-bahn. In general it was OK,and we thanks for the competence of employees.

This hostel was well located for the Oktoberfest and the main train station, and was good value for money. However, we booked a double room and when we arrived they gave us a twin - when we complained the receptionist said there was nothing he could do as they were busy and didn't offer any kind of compensation or extra service.

This hostel was one of the best ones we stayed in in Europe, the twin room was very clean and spacious and reasonably priced considering it was during Octoberfest, would definately recommend

We went to Munich for the oktoberfest. the hostel it is realy nice . The only problem was that i booked online a double room for 75 euro per night and when we arrived they put us in a room with other people. But thanks to one of the guys they change (not without complaining and not very nicely) the room and they gave to us a 6 beds room for only 2 people. I think they need to chek the reservation to see what the people need before the people arrived at the place. But I am sure that we are going to use this hostel again and the others in the future, like we use the one in Berlin.

this facility is a hostel for teenages from schools on day and week trips. VERY HECTIC!! My wife and I are seniors, so were a few other couples and people we talked too, they all reacted as we did, complete surprize that we were booked into such a venue. I shall be more careful next time and ensure it doesn't happen again. You should be aware of the locations and clientelle and match them more carefully.
